I am so shocked that after all this time, BG's voice hasn't been recognized. I get that it's now difficult to put the voice with the face, since the face isn't the face we've been looking for.

It might almost be better if we didn't have the video and the sketches and all we had was a voice.

I think people are having a hard time putting all the pieces together.

The voice has always been the voice. No change there. It's the one and ONLY constant.

And the "figure" on the bridge has always been the same, but it's not really since "experts" seem to think that there are "things" under that jacket and that his pants might be hiding things too. So you are left with a visual that isn't really correct.

His gait isn't really his gait because of how he is walking on a bridge. LE have told us that.

We are supposed to look at his mannerisms as he's walking but this isn't really how he walks. The only mannerism I pick up on is "hands in pockets". He might walk toed out a bit but not that much.

Then we have the sketches that are totally different.

It's really hard to separate the two sketches now from the body and the voice. IMO very hard.

The only real constant is the voice. Now we need to somehow, apply that voice to the new sketch and forget totally about the old sketch. Voice and new sketch.

Somebody knows.

Those are deeply disturbing signs, I cannot imagine he was a joy to live with. It's sad when those red flags go unnoticed.

Agree. It's even more upsetting when they are noticed but untreated.

@Tealgrove
I agree, the voice seems to be more of a solid constant. I wonder why they only released a few words though? Surely there are more words in the whole recording/video that would help identify the person and not foul language or other things the public shouldn't hear.

Just started doing some reading on Witness Intimidation: what exactly qualifies and how can witnesses be protected. If he/she/they are indeed afraid to come forward because he/she/they have been threatened it does change my perspective a bit.

We are all entitled to an opinion, within reason, and I believe mine is. Did you expect that if the killer was in the room that Carter would have said, "Directly, to the killer who IS IN THIS ROOM?" Unlikely. His speech was deliberate and so was anything that he deliberately left out or chose to leave vague. With respect, JMO :)
I totally agree.
this conference was planned to the last inch from the advertising and timing of it .Carter wanted B G to be there or if not him some one very, very close to him.
He chose the holiday so if someone was working or at college in another place they would be staying with family locally.
Carter knows.

I just watched the PC again yesterday and I keep thinking about when he said "...how you left them...". I keep wondering what that refers to, if it is a deliberate pose that the killer put them in when he left or is it the carelessness of just leaving the bodies like garbage. Either way it is sick but I just keep thinking about that statement.

"Directly to the killer who may be in this room..." indicates that they don't know who the killer is. That, and pretty much the rest of the press conference. It seems obvious that they need help identifying the killer because they don't know who it is. JMO.

He also said “we may have already spoken to you or to somebody who knows you.” or something like that. If LE knew who he was, he needn’t be so vague.

The fact they were alive, then he left them dead is far more significant than any body positioning, I think. Although he caused those deaths, the girls are now in heaven, was my interpretation of what he said.

In a city near me, there have been 2 prospective witnesses killed
just prior to 2 separate cases going to trial. The threat is real.

Yeah, the majority of those cases are gang related though.

That’s why the clearance rate is so low when it comes to gang crimes, especially murder.

Talking is a death sentence.

This case, isn’t like that though.

I have the same reaction - why would they need to confirm the shoe color to know they found the girls??

jmo

Perhaps the shoe was off her and in another location or maybe she was buried under leaves and twigs and the shoe was the only thing that was visible?

That's exactly what I keep saying as well. Two children go for an innocent walk in a park to take pictures. They're found later murdered and basically left like garbage in the cold. Now, depending on your religious beliefs, they're safe and comfortable in Heaven. I really don't think there has to be more to it than that.

Unless they had DNA that matches several members in the family

This could very well be the only words that are distinguishable on the audio. Kelsi German has said so in her Twitter account. This was linked to earlier today. There really doesn't have to be any more. The words could be muffled or indistinguishable, or the phone could've been dropped and there aren't any more words to be heard at all. I know my loved ones by voice and it doesn't take much to identify them.

Your observations jive with mine, regarding identification of people along the trails that day. Some of these folks would have recognized each other, or had seen them on the trails before.

I'm not aware that anyone who saw BG that day has a clue as to his identity, and LE have not mentioned anything about witnesses saying BG had been seen there before. He's a phantom of sorts, in my book. I think he lives close enough to the MHB to either be familiar with it or to have visited it in the not-so-distant past before the crimes. MOO is he had a fantasy in his mind which included the bridge area, and just about all of the variables worked out in his favor that day.

I think he lives in the surrounding area or region, but not right in or around Delphi. Which is why nobody recognized him.

JMO
I have not seen a witness statement that has said yes I saw that guy in those clothes at the bridge. If they had there would not be so much speculation about what he had on.

If that PC was planned to the last inch, I'd hate to see what careless looks like. ;) DC's train of thought was muddled at times. LE even had to issue a press release for clarification shortly afterward. I'm sure DC had an idea what he wanted to do, but, IMO, it was poorly executed.

Hah! How'd you know that? Don't know for sure about gangs
but they were tough street people and certainly could be gangs.
I'm just not real street smart.
You're just TOO SMART! lol.

Would partial DNA do that ? Match a handful of people in a family?.....moo

As of April 29th LE received nearly 2,000 new tips but it’ll take some time for the information to be processed and then to investigate any lucrative leads. Hopefully most of the tips are good tips from people who know that person and not-side-by side FB photos.

ISP: Nearly 2K tips in week since new Delphi sketch released

More likely, IMO, they delayed the PC for a few days so that maybe, just maybe, the killer, if he lives close by, might think about showing up. It was a long shot, to be sure, but they're desperate.
