How would you subdue two girls at the same time?
Possibly more than one person involved

It is truly heartbreaking
I can't imagine the pain the families are going through
My husband and I just talked about this. Loyalty maybe. Would one run if she could knowing her friend might die?

Monster (s).

My granddaughter is 15. I can't even imagine this horror for the families.

If they were found on private property, does that mean the trails run through private property that people live on?

That's true. But I got the impression that they were dropped off by a family member. I think if they were dropped off with someone else with them, that would have been stated at the beginning. But who knows?

Yeah, but what about if someone else were in the car with the driver? A friend of the driver, maybe. Or somebody else who was going to be dropped off somewhere else. Something along those lines. I don't have a specific scenario in mind but it seems like there's room for some ambiguity that might account for the comment about not having developed that completely.

the more I think about it, the more I think that they were planning to meet up with someone at the trails.

Most 13 yr old girls are pretty social and also are really interested in boys at this age. So I would think they would have wanted to be dropped off somewhere more 'social'---like Burger King or the local park that the skate boarders go to.

So getting dropped off where they did, makes more sense to me if they thought someone 'cool' was going to be there too....

I created a map, based on the sex offender registry and the location of where the girls were dropped/found. Not sure if that would be allowed..... But I'm happy to share.

on the green mile that was described as using their love to kill them :(

I watched an episode of Forensic Files where a single perp abducted two adult women by grabbing one and holding a gun to her head to make her friend comply.

BBM. My teenage daughter wouldn't. I also think if they were scared to death they wouldn't even be able to think quickly enough to save themselves.

True. It would be a way to explain how someone knew where two young girls were going to be, alone and vulnerable.

Does anyone else see two figures farther back on the track from the Snapchat picture? I'm not sure how to post the picture where I circled what could be a person/persons.

Probably ok if there are no names on it and you post a link. I'd love to see it.

It was believed that they were some kind of barricade to stop vehicles on the track. I forget the actual name of them.

It's been discussed and consensus seems to be that it's barriers to prevent cars from getting on the bridge.

(being very delicate and intentionally vague here...) with water right there, I can see how one person could do this to 2 people.

There are names, but it's public information to sex offenders. Anyone can see it on the offender registry. I just don't want to get dinged for it.

@KayElJay would it be alright to post a link to a map I created showing the location of where the drop/find of the girls occurred, compared to the sex offenders that are registered in the area? It has the offenders names and their classification (sexually violent predator, crimes against children, non-compliant, etc) as well as public information regarding their registered addresses. All of it's public info..just want to be clear.

Ooooh. Thank you

all avenues of inquiry are wonderful and keeping an open mind and not zeroing in on one theory seems beneficial, from what I have seen from so many other cases so... if LE was suspecting a RSO, they really should have told the community to be on guard and not been quite so nonchalant (for lack of a better word quickly, sorry) about it when questioned.

Not a mod but I make a lot of maps :p You can post a map that includes SO information, just make sure to include the SO registry link, linking to the individuals information, in the map itself.

Example - Like this one I did recently
