An article with quotes from a Delphi community organizer who is familiar with the trail system. No mention of cameras. The trail sign posted also doesn't mention security cams being utilized. I looked through a few online community links about the trail system and none mention a camera system. I'm leaning towards that photo not being from any trail cam.

I agree. The poor resolution seems more likely that it's a cropped photo and he was in the distance.

Does anyone know the height of the railroad tracks over the water? Is it a creek or a river also?

I think this is a picture of what the railroad tracks must have looked like years ago before the steel tracks were removed. It gives you a pretty good idea of the height.

I'd guess it to be about 20-30 feet above the solid ground, and about 50-60 feet above the river.

Can I just say that I'm proud to be part of this group? Been monitoring the FB Discussion Group and there have been several posts about people that are not from there and don't have any business being on the group site. Well I grew up in a small town very similar to Delphi - smaller as a matter of fact - small farming town surrounded by more small towns. Everyone knew everyone else, their business and their mamas and daddies and grandparents, etc. Had we been faced with something like this, the idea that other people were interested enough and cared enough to help find answers would have been amazing. Maybe someone had heard of something similar happening somewhere else or thought of something from a new angle or saw something with fresh eyes? Right this minute there are 213 people on this thread - that's 213 more people looking for the bad guy, praying for a family, trying to find hope. We are not ghouls and I would like the bad guy to know that it's not just the locals and the feds looking for him. It's all of us!

I'm just wondering if it is possible to get pushed off and get hurt from it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are cameras, with all the teens that frequent the area and the age of the bridge. I just can't wrap my head around this being random. It was during the day with people around in a park on hiking trails. Not sure it makes sense to be looking for a victim/s there. If no gun was used, how did 1 person control 2 girls? No reports of gun shots or screams. I think they were meeting someone, perhaps from internet. They weren't far from the bridge, someone saw or heard something.

Pardon my ignorance but what are those platforms jutting out on either side used for?

They were found approx 1 mile upstream from the bridge, on private property about 50 feet from the water I think.

how do you access the area where the girls were found? Are there stairs, do they have to climb down the hill?

To avoid getting hit by a train if you are walking down tracks.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to get a picture of the area in my head

First, let me say I NEVER see anything in photos that others see so take with a grain of salt

I think he is wearing a hoodie and that is what is hanging below the jacket.
Not sure if he has a hat or the hoodie on his head
White male , twenties
Probably car keys, cell etc in jacket pocket
The rod looking thing that someone drew an arrow to... it is shadow or light as it is on one leg in one pic and the other leg in the other pic
Not sure about the white hanging from the jacket, may be a fur type lining

All my two cents

The girls were found on private property. Could this be someone essentially fed up with strangers walking on their property?

When this first happened- before the girls were found- a girl commented on a news article that she was at that bridge around that same time. She saw one man and one couple. It was reported in msm that she said that. Well she posted a photo of the bridge that she took at that time, in that comment section. It kind of showed down the side of the bridge. Now I want to see it again! It's possible that she had the photos. Does anyone know what Facebook news article that was posted under? Thanks!

The land owner is completely devastated and cooperating. He also knows the family, I doubt he was involved in the least.
