The investigation headquarters outgrew its home at the Delphi Police Department so Saturday it was relocated to a building off of the town square, all while people continue to support the family.

Getting a haircut or pedicure on Saturday benefited the girls’ families at Create Hair Salon in Camden.

“I grew up in Delphi so when I heard what happened we just wanted to help however we could,” said Jenna Fassnacht, owner of the Create Hair Studio.

So she decided to donate all of Saturday's sales to the families of the two girls.

Word spread quickly, with a rush of people coming from all around the region as soon as doors opened.

“When you see community come together like that it leaves you speechless,” Fassnacht said.

Terri Ikerd heard about the fundraiser and called the salon, volunteering to come from Kokomo to donate her services.

There is shallow water and sand bars there

Which is something that only someone with experience with that area would know. IMO.

humans have a freeze or flight/fight response to danger, there is really nothing in between these 2 responses. A mother and child, 2 close friends--you don't get to think it out, you will respond naturally protective(usually) you will not leave the other or cause problem that will harm the other. This happened at 2:30 -3:00pm not your usual time for abduction. i truly believe he knows he can control 2, which means not his first time.

Hope you get better soon. I'm still in the hospital battling an infection so have been here much of the time also.

I just want to say it's great to around so many here that care about others in a world where evil does exist.
I agree 100%. I'm not one for forums, but I must say the decency I've seen from the inhabitants here makes me very inclined to stay.

I hope you are out of the hospital soon. Get well!!! ❤

I agree, it looks as if he is pivoting and either heading straight toward the girls (if they were close together), or veering around Abby who was directly in front of him and towards Libby....OR, was cutting around Abby to get in front of her and accost her......
Whichever it was, I definitely see him changing tack. MOO

Was he running toward them?

Very interesting! So Liberty was standing on one of those wooden platforms when she took the video. This recreation also makes me wonder what on earth he did to arouse her suspicions from THAT far off.

I didn't realize that it's the FBI executing the search warrants:

http://fox59.com/2017/02/25/fbi-searches-peru-home-regarding-delphi-homicides-nothing-found/

ISP served the first one.
I am paraphrasing Agent Greg Massa from the press conference;that the FBI involvement can stretch to lead interstate or assist multi -jurisdictionally in the investigation. So perhaps that could why since Perdu,IN was a different jurisdiction in the state it was the FBI who conducted the search. :discuss:

Great graphic work by Gray Hughes! This explained, at this in my mind, how the sad encounter happened. The poor girls were stuck on the other side of the bridge. I didn't realize until a couple days ago that the bridge continues for so long at the top of the trees after the creek. One would either have jump and take the risk or continue south east to get away from the perp. JMO

Exactly, the sick 🤬🤬🤬 had them trapped. I wonder if he was hiding on the north side, watched them go onto the bridge, made sure no one was coming on the path to the bridge, then walked across to where they were to confront them. It is even more horrifying, if that is possible, with these videos laying it all out.

Was he running toward them?

Again, MOO, but it appears that way to me. Maybe not running, but picking up the pace.....I think this because the turn of his body as well as the way he appears to be "leaning into" his stride, like you do when breaking into a run.

No. Not at all.

What I saw the water seemed deeper than shallow it's also cold.
Is there another way to get them there?

It absolutely isn't his first time for control. MOO

Yes that's how I see it too

Does anyone here know if all RSO's in Indiana have DNA on file?

I think the question is important because I have and idea or two about this case that is relevant. If LE is currently serving search warrants on RSOs relating to this case then it means one of two things either a) RSO's in Indiana don't have DNA on file or b) LE does not have DNA results back yet.

My hunch (JMO) is that LE did not find any of the killers DNA at the crime scene during the initial investigation when they were absolutely sure that they would. This would IMO explain a lot. It would explain why they released the crime scene initially and then hustled back there and closed off the scene again. It would also explain why LE is so rattled about this case. Any killer that could murder 2 teenage girls in the tight time frame we have discussed without leaving ANY dna would be very experienced and very methodical and very very dangerous. It is possible he chose the location of the creek so he could clean up. Keep in mind there would be a lot of DNA to sort through at the scene that would have nothing to do with the crime, family members DNA on the girls clothes etc. To not leave one piece of Dna behind would be quite a feat. It would also require the killer to remove a large amount of evidence from the scene with him which could be why LE wanted to know about a duffle bag.

I also believe that they found DNA evidence somewhere back there very recently but they do not have it back yet, which is why they are asking for patience.

If I'm right and they get the DNA back early next week expect an arrest Monday or Tuesday if they get a match...all of this is pure speculation on my part of course and JMO.

The name of a man who lives at the Peru home on Canal Street had came up during the ongoing investigation into the homicides of 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams, said FBI Special Agent Bob Ramsey.

After conducting the search, however, FBI do not believe the man has any ties to the case, he said.

"We in no way believe he is connected to the murder of those girls," Ramsey said.

What does it take to get a search warrant? They had to have something to go on besides his name and someone saying, "Hey, it could be so-and-so", right?

Who is our resident photo guru here?

Doesn't seem like it would be easy to do know what I mean?
I suggest watching the 2 part YouTube videos posted previously. You'll see how easy this actually may have been given the possibility they crossed a sandbar with very low water levels.

Very good question. I'm assuming they do have their DNA, it is that way down here, I would HOPE every state has that as a condition of parole.

I just checked and they are not. I'm not sure if they would allow them in the media thread? Maybe ask the OP.
