What were they looking for in the water in that location I wonder? If it were a cell phone or something small I imagine they would have used divers? The girls were not found there so I am wondering what made them search that area. (I'm trying hard to get caught up on this case so I apologize if this has already been discussed).
IMO....MOO

If the area they were found was "pristine" could he have killed them IN the water to reduce leaving DNA behind, then moved them to where they were found?

And that was by crime scene. The creek directly under the bridge was shallow, had sandbars and stepping stones. In my opinion easier than walking back across that rotted, plank missing 850 ft bridge.

But a better chance of being seen by anyone on the bridge?

i remember read the very first report about this missing story saying that the family member was supposed to pick them up 1 hour later (around 2?). I can't remember clearly though. But the picker show up at 3 to 3:30pm? And report to police at 5:30pm. They should have reported early. JMO.
They were due to be picked up between 3 and 3:30pm. They were reported missing at 5:30pm when they realized the girls had not gone back to someone's home, as thought possible.

So they would crossed the bridge 3 time?

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

Just twice if I am understanding geography correctly. Started on North side, walked to south side. At some point near the end of the south side, got a pic of the perp. Maybe PASSED him as they walked back to the north side, all the while maybe looking "for something." He also turned around and went back to the north side. They encountered him on the north side of the bridge and he got them down the hill (either by suggestion or force).

IMO, MOO

I think they are looking for weapon in the creek. moo

But how would this scenario account for the pic of him taken on the bridge on the south end?

Yes, I will have to change it a bit to account for the afternoon shadows, but the basic scenario still works.

I think the encounter on the bridge was a friendly one at first. He didn't "order" them off the bridge, but offered to show them something he thought they would be interested in seeing in the park, and they went with him. I think part of the appeal for this perp is to lure victims and then turn on them.

IMO, he showed them the path off the main trail, led them down it, and then turned ugly.

JMOpinion at the moment, a work in progress

But they weren't. This guy was brazen and lucky. If they'd been seen, he probably would have aborted his sick mission. Who knows how many times he's hunted on this exact property with no luck. Until Feb. 13th.

I don't know? Looks like something on the fence pole?

Perhaps the proximity to where the bodies were found.

This is ajacent to crime scene. Not by bridge. Some of us believe they crossed the creek in the shallows by the bridge.

Is there evidience to show that the water is shallow near the bridge? I know there are some stoney/sand bar areas, but hadn't heard that the water is shallow their? Any locals want to chime in? I know i have seen pics of kayaks going under the bridge, not that they require much depth. but i would think it would still be atleast knee deep in some spots?

they were talking selfies, maybe he offered to take one of the two of them together?

True, but same risk trying to get them back over to the north side via crossing?

Lol, makes my head hurt. I can't imagine what it's doing to the investigators brains.

Between the north end of the bridge and the location where the bodies were found, are there any structures....shed, wood or equipment storage shelter, cemetery shed, etc?

Anyone know?

The area of creek in video is where the bodies were recovered. The searchers in the water show it comes up to the backs of their knees, maybe a bit higher. The cross point widely being discussed is right besides the bridge. It looks a great deal lower, and has sand bars in the middle and large submerged rocks to step on. It looks less than a foot. There is a great drone video about a minute long in the media thread that shows how shallow that area is at this time of year.

Thats kind of what I have been thinking about. The other area near the bridge where the level may have been low enough and the rocks and sand bars may have allowed access to cross.

Here is a thought where both theories could be correct.

Is it possible they may have crossed almost right under the bridge and then walked toward the cemetary from the north side after crossing.

It could explain both answers are right. Maybe they did drop off the South side of bridge but crossed the water right there under the bridge area and then walked from north side of the land to cemetary.

That was me who posted the depth information, SuziQ...it makes no sense that he would force them, even through knee deep water just to get to the other side. I am starting to think that the initial contact came clower to the North end of the bridge, unless it is a proven fact that they were on the South side.

Thank you for your reply!

Some are posting a time for the photo/video of BG. Do we have a link for that? TIA, I'm sorry if I missed this info.

I think BG knows the area because his family member is buried in that cemetery. I hope the police checked for fresh flowers at the graves.

I thought of that, too, but it's possible the perp knows nobody at the grave and brought flowers to place on any old grave in case he was spotted.

That is a bit down stream from the crossing point.

We don't know where they crossed.
And in that deep water they wouldn't know if a gun was down there.

So then that's about 3 feet it seems?

There are a lot of ways to keep people quiet. Duct tape, for example. A gun on you would also do the trick. I'm not sure why people are finding it so hard to believe that one person could completely subdue two girls.
Sadly we've had a few cases in our area of just this. Every case envolved young teens. LE stated once the perp had control of one teen the other would follow. Sadly had one teen run he may have released the other to make a fast get away.
