Wait...rewind. You were checking Delphi PRIOR to the crime? Why?

I'm thinking it was meant that they was reading posts that were posted before the crime.

Is there a prison close by? Many child/teen/sexual offenders, re offend shortly after getting release. Could be someone who was visiting family. I have ran through so many possible people researching. There are alot of offenders out there and he is of average height and build. Who.

It's definitely not a double standard. It's the job of law enforcement to investigate and rule out a suspect. It's irresponsible for the general public to defame an innocent person online.
That's true, epically since the conversations sometimes become very aggressive and rude tword a person who isn't even a suspect.

Not sure why people can't sleuth boots in case at some point we can match them to the perp or footprints. I've had to step away from the case several times and suggest that everyone else take occasional breaks too. Lets all just get along and find this BG.

With so many new folks and a potential (likely imo) serial killer, I wanted to post this link to the Murder Accountability Project. This is a public database with a massive amount of data on murders, both solved and unsolved. Might be helpful in finding other potential victims.

http://www.murderdata.org/p/how-to.html?m=1

This website gives police and the public easy-to-use access to two datasets maintained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation: the Uniform Crime Report from 1965 to the present and — more useful for investigators — the Supplementary Homicide Report from 1976 to the present. The Murder Accountability Project, using the Freedom of Information Act, has obtained data on more than 22,000 homicides that were not reported to the Justice Department. This means the information at www.murderdata.org is the most complete data on U.S. homicides available anywhere.

hehe, I'm from upstate NY ... 72 degrees and I'm putting on a short sleeved t shirt, shorts, and flip flops. I was out today in a short sleeved shirt and jeans because it was 59. And I'm the one in the family who "runs cold"!
:laughing:Yes, we see our Northern neighbors all the time in dead winter time on the beach with shorts and flip flops and sometimes even speedos!

I'm guess he meant ones posted before the crime happened ...after the fact of it happening...(previously posted) lol see no way to say it to make it mean what I want to say!!

If you aren't speaking to me then I apologize, but my boots comment wasn't meant to insinuate we shouldn't be looking at boots, only that its frustrating not to be able to communicate potentially breaking news, although I fully understand and appreciate the TOS.

A few thoughts (sorry for the length, just thinking):

1. Several threads ago there was a post about a helicopter video and possibly tire tracks that led from a building towards the creek. Does anyone remember this? What was the building - Indiana Packers facility or the storage facility?
2. Can someone re-post the map that showed the bridge, drop-off area, where bodies were found, etc along with labels indicating what surrounding buildings are? If it is a private residence, just state that - do not include the name of the owner.
3. Many past crimes (including NY's Son of Sam) were solved, in part, due to parking/traffic tickets. I'm wondering if investigators have looked at any calls over the last several months (even going back a year) that may have involved a car seemingly parked where it seemed out of place, was parked for a longer period of time or at "off" hours, someone driving around that didn't seem to have a purpose or that someone else reported as suspicious, etc. Even maybe public drinking. BG may have spent time scoping out the area for months before getting up the nerve to strike. The search for this type of info should also include any surrounding areas that could be similar (parks, trails, etc) that may still be within his comfort zone.

Also, someone awhile back made a VERY good point people may think someone they know or have come in contact with resembles the suspect and may have even "joked" about it with him or that the suspect himself may have joked about it but that people "ruled him out" because he claimed he had an alibi. Something like - "It's a good thing my wife and I were in (blank) that day or I swear the police would think it was me." This may cause people to not report him to LE because they think he's already "clear".

I would love to see LE encourage people to report ANYONE that think resembles this guy EVEN IF THE GUY CLAIMS HE HAS AN ALIBI!

Here was my original post with the video:

Here is the map that Hoosier952 made with the info I asked about:
https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewe...&ll=40.61614203242182,-86.58463316152341&z=11

And here is the link to Bob Saccamano's post with a map he made of that area. If you go to his profile and see his posts, he has SO many really incredible maps.

I don't see that any of his clothing is unique enough to matter much. In fact, we keep reading how many hundreds of men dress in that style in the midwest.

This videographer, GMF, gave permission to the networks to use portions of this amazing video in their reports. It's a great way to familiarize yourself with the beautiful area. I always suspected BG of living alone and perhaps in the woods nearby the High Bridge. Then, I found this Delphi video and learn that there are dozens of abandoned RR Row Houses along the rails and trails. Remember the Whistle Stop Cafe' in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes? Delphi was a major stop for the RR once long ago.

While extensive discussion of pics of blurry boots may be considered over the top by some, you'll be pleased to know that after hundreds of posts about a mere scrap of aged and dirty looking material, it was a WSer who was ultimately able to identify the t-shirt logo of UID Sand Canyon John Doe:

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?585-Sand-Canyon-John-Doe

While Sand Canyon John Doe still has not been identified, it was the determination and perseverance of members here that have brought LE one big step closer to finding out who this unidentified man is.

If members find such discussion tiring, boring, unnecessary, etc in this case, they can scroll and roll, but perhaps discussion of boots will be a big step in this case too ... we don't know until we know.

None. He knew he'd find a victim at this location.
