Yes. In the very very beginning, we were having a convo about that being her jacket. Someone posted a bigger pic- not that double pic, but an actual fuller pic. And it was a tree. I was open to either until that point and then thought, "well, I'll be! It really is a tree!". Since I haven't seen it again, I doubted myself and am open again LOL. I am so glad someone else remembers it. I might need to go back to the first 3 threads and see if I can find it. Several people posted the pic, but it was all the cropped or double pic. Only one person posted the bigger pic.

It is also possible that it is not about sexual attraction. Many child molesters aren't sexually attracted to children but rather are drawn due to a need for power and control.

IIRC, the larger picture was actually a photoshopped image in which bg was placed on the bridge to show better probable location. I have yet to see an original image that pans further out to show any trees. JMO.

I think often the same person that posts here posts there. Which I would be careful about. I was on another thread where a sleuther figured out many people's real identity by seeing what was consistent with their posts on Facebook..... and that is scary.

I don't post on SM crime pages for that exact reason. I have considered creating a separate fake account to do so but haven't felt a need to post yet.

No. This was in the very beginning when we first discovered there were 2 photos (we described and right foot up, right foot down photos). No one was photoshopping yet. lol. It was linked to an article that had a bigger picture.

I meant why they are saying to look for someone who is hiding his hands. He would have abrasions on his knuckles and wouldn't want anyone to notice.

Thank you!! I knew I remembered seeing it...wasn't able to readily find it but I believe that one shows the pic being taken behind some trees (it was very early in investigation so we were all shocked I believe and not fully comprehending what and where it was taking place).

But I believe that picture really shows where she was as she took it. Maybe they cropped it to lessen fear factor because it was pretty frightening.

So..thanks for validating me!!!

Also if it can be found, I believe it will show the end of the bridge and may pinpoint exact direction (N or S)!!

OT-ish I watched a three-part series on Acorn TV called The Code of a Killer, a drama based on true story about the first case where DNA was used in a murder. It was in England in 1983 when two fifteen-year old girls were murdered in the same village within two years. The scientist who invented DNA lived there and eventually the Chief Inspector got the idea to request samples from all men within five miles between 16-34. After about 3500 DNA tests, they got a tip that one young man had given his blood for his boss at his demand. Sure enough, the boss was the killer.

Anyway...a very good show for anyone who subscribes to Acorn, which has a lot of good UK crime shows. Too bad they can't do this in this case but since they do not seem to think he is a local, probably would not yield results.

Technically speaking, this would not be pedophilia. Pedophilia involves a child who has not reached puberty. Still very sick, but not pedophilia. This would fall under Hebephilia.

I have spent hours using photo software with filters trying to coax more detail from BG photos with no luck. Doesn't mean someone else can't but I'm burned out for now.
Curious how FBI and IN State Police now show1 photo but we clearly have 2.

I think by looking at the photo on the left that BG 's hand is not in his pocket but slightly behind him. The white blob does not line up with the cuff of his jacket. Could the white blob be a phone in a holster and the white around his neck be headphones?

Good tip, I don't post on facebook.....but i wander over there now and then for comic relief and have noticed on this and other cases that things always seem to pop over there almost word for word. I guess in actuality it should be taken as a complement of what a great site this is. They get the facts and most logical info here and twist it and stretch it over there. Some stuff is down right scary on SM

I have seen this mentioned several times, so I apologize for using your post. But, I am so confused by this idea. If he had a tattoo that he could be identified by, don't y'all think the police would have released it? That would be easy to identify by people who knew him! And if no tattoo info had been released, then why would he have to hide it? I mean, it can't be from being embarrassed of it! He put it there. So why would a hidden right hand mean a tattoo in this case? Real question.

I think they are just trying to mention things they saw in the video and are giving random examples.

I think that was the page with two side by side photos that was distributed by the Indiana Fusion Center to LE.

It's entirely possible that this is the case. If he really is drawn to the power aspect... he's at least contemplated something similar at this point. You don't just wake up one day and decide that you're going to end the life of another, or more than one, person in this manner. This is not a young guy. I just can't believe that this is a teenager, going against the theories of some. I actually favor the truck driver theory. My husband is kind of on the same page. He's in the middle of a trial so he doesn't have much time to actually go over things though.

After watching the awesome video posted, I'm of the opinion that there really are not many options that could have happened. In terms of where POI came from, lead girls to and later left from, etc.

1. POI followed from the get go like in video.
2. Parked at cemetery and walked parallel on the road until POI got to entrance (or walked attack route backwards in planning and then waited somewhere near entrance to then fall into place) and then joined in on the trail as noted.
3. Had another party (B) drop off at trail head as POI (A) finished the hike with girls while B waited at cemetery for A to return with the girls alive. It's my assumption that if A&B were together in committing this crime they would have both participated in some form of the crime together at some point and then returned girls back to the location (not that it had to be the exact same place of course), unless B is a female - but that's just my opinion.

As for what happened after the initial contact I'm assuming they were taken and then dropped back off per the prior search of the area, not finding anything, but then again it was dark, the area has multiple elevated ditch and hill like formations (pictures from no tree cover in my profile from past - 2012) so maybe no one saw them laying there, unfortunately.
