I lived in Indiana for 2 years for graduate school and am from Michigan. I do not hear a "Midwest accent " as there are numerous accents in the midwest. It does not sound like a Michigan dialect or an urban Indiana dialect but it definitely sounds like a middle rural indiana dialect. If you get just outside of Bloomington or Indianapolis, this is how people sound. As you get further south and closer to Kentucky, it gets much more southern. JMO.

Ok, when I crop the pic, I can see right through the brown part where there has been speculation it is a fan by pack. I see his hand gripping what looks to be a butterfly knife. I think the brown is just some shading to cover that up? If you follow from his right hand, down his pant legs, you'll see it

I'm also of the opinion that it is a knife handle inside of a knife sheath that we are seeing. However I don't think it is a butterfly knife but rather a large hunting type knife.

Again, I have seen it reported that it is not a private road. There is no gate. In the gold prospecting video they appear to be using this road and parking on the south/east side of the creek.

Aside from the one house at the end of the road, there is one house on the left, right after the road splits.

I've noticed a lot of the same theories are posted on FB as well. Either people are reading here and copying whats being said, OR whats being said here is being repeated because theres so little info that everyone will eventually come to the same conclusions/theories. JMO.

Are drones popular in the Delphi area?
Using a drone he could see the girls were alone, without anyone noticing him.
"It's" [drone] down the hill!
Maybe the girls were helping retrieve a crashed drone, but were set up for something more sinister.

Does anyone happen to know offhand whether it is common for police to not report rape/sexual assault of murder victims if the victims are found dead and it happens to be the case? When the perp is still unknown and at large, would the sexual assault/rape component of the crime be withheld?

When baby Shaylyn Ammerman of Indiana was found, LE reported the most horrific details of her injuries even before her murderer was arrested. So, no they don't hold back.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not. There are thousands of comments on Facebook about the girls. I'm not purposely checking Facebook to see if people are copying comments here. IMO, most of the theories here make sense, and it wouldn't surprise me for other people to have the same ideas independently on their own without copying others. Seems like a non-issue to me unless it's a direct word for word copy. Jmo.

R. Logan wasn't home when this occurred. I'm curious to know if anyone was home at the south side of Deer Creek...the house at the end of N625W where the private road leads? Just thinking that unsub may have had opportunities to learn about a few regular weekday schedules of people in the nearby vicinity.

I lived near the Michigan/Indiana line for most of my life and moved down to the west side of Indy a few months ago. I'm amazed how how much of a soft accent they have down here.

FWIW, the very first thought that I had when I listened to the audio of BG was: "Southern".
