I am disappointed too!
Time and time again we see LE perform and behave contrary to how we think they should in an investigation. Sometimes our suspicions are warranted but more often than not we find out after the fact that they were being very methodical.
In this case, I think that they have a handle on their operations. IMO, They knew that arresting and holding RL would send out a message (smoke and mirrors) but to whom and for what ends, I have no clue.
I like to gather and find what I think are the puzzle pieces but have a hard time putting them together. RL is a big piece of the puzzle right now which could turn out to be totally nothing!
I do believe RL has nothing at all to do with the crime against the girls.
JMO

me too think RL has nothing to do with the murder. The only scenario that maybe related is he possible has interacted with some one who he doesn't know is a killer. And LE need to get more info from him. But RL could be related to other crimes or illegal activities (probation violation is one e.g.). Who knows. JMO

Indeed. If he is totally innocent of this crime (and I think he is), he has been put through hell for his other choices in the past.

i know, they should not have arrested him in the first place. even if they were doing a big sweep. he is way too close to this case for people NOT to reasonably suspect something fishy is going on with him. even if they state he is innocent, people will still always talk.

i'm hoping maybe they want him there because they need to keep him safe, or try to get some more info out of him. he might be afraid to 'snitch' or protecting someone he cares about. just throwing ideas around. i hate to say i do hope this is the case and the jerk who did this is caught. i'm losing hope for proper justice. i want it while the crime is still fresh, not some small article in the paper 18 years from now.

That i do not believe for a second. Jmo they will use what ever is available to get what they are looking for should they find what they are looking for they will then get the appropiate papers signed to make it legal. Jmo there are ways around making it legal. Nsa has been collecting info on citizens for years. Jmo

I agree too although this is just my believe not with evidence. People really have no privacy in terms of electronic related stuff. Maybe LE can not use it as evidence in convict a crime but no double to me they could collect a lot of information with more ways we can think of. The information helps them to comb through tips but not necessary able to use it in court if they get the info "illegally". JMO

As a non US citizen I really would like names of places to be one of a kind, if it exist in one place the name should be taken and not up for use. Joke aside to me peru is machu pichu and Miami is Florida.
I am in the US, but still agree with you. I live in- between Athens and Berlin Alabama. Crazy!

There are a lot of changes expected to happen within the Delphi trails system. It comes one month after the murder of two teen girls who went missing while hiking the Monon High Bridge Trail on Feb. 13.

A task force is being formed by the Delphi Historic Trails. It will be made up of community members, law enforcement officials, trail organizers, and other members of the public. The goal is to form a task force who will talk about safety strategies and implement them within the more than 10 miles of trails in the Delphi area.

The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Monday to talk about upcoming changes. Some of those include educating the public on safety, using cameras, and coordinating locations for 911 identification.

They also hope to implement using appropriate signage, using safety stations, and adding police patrols to the trails.

One person says trails are not well marked and suggests mile markers and You are Here placards at entrance of each trail

Here's what I think:

Law enforcement has pulled all the traffic cams and can find no vehicle of interest that pulled off in the area. They also interviewed everyone near the area and no one can recall a suspicious vehicle around the time of the crime. This leads LE to look closer to home.

Somehow, LE has developed evidence that whoever did this has a connection to the nearby farm. They know it isn't (*), but they think it may be someone who visited (*) while he was out of town, or perhaps someone who was already staying with (*) as a guest.

(*) gets pulled in and jailed over some BS probation thingy because LE thinks he is covering for someone and they want to put pressure on him.

You can look into geocaching and all manner of other fantasies..........but mark my words........ my scenario is going to be closer to the truth when an arrest is made.

JMO of course.

I am still trying to understand how Carter can say he thinks that the tip they need is not among the 13,000 tips received.

Is it possible that there is some clearly identifying information they saw in Libby's video? Or were the girls able to cut or hurt him in some major way that should be obvious that they gleaned from video or sound?

I have never thought the twist comment was about Libby's video. I believe it's about the perp and something he did.

All speculation. But if they know more, they need to come out with it. Obviously what they have told the public so far isn't working.

RSBM - and hopefully this is okay to discuss. I've been a geocacher for a long time, and it's taken me to some really great places I would never have found on my own. I own no Geocaching labeled clothing or other items [emoji3]. I have a gpsr, but rarely use it anymore, my iPhone works just fine, with a little geo-sense. So agree with Nin. It is valid random reason to be out and about. MOO, etc.

ETA - sorry, Nin, I cut your name off the quote!,,,

Geocacher here too. Been doing it for years. It does take you to interesting and cool places you'd have never seen otherwise. First thing I did when they found the bodies there was look on my iPhone to see it there was a geocache. The Geocaching Logo that NIN posted is a registered trademark of Groundspeak. As far as I know they never came out with a fanny pack that looks like the typical 1990's fannypack (which is what I'm assuming everyone thinks they're seeing). Most fannypacks now are square or rectangular. Groundspeak is always rotating/changing their merchandise so anything you might have bought from them 5 years ago they would no longer sell now. I don't believe they've ever had their logo printed on the pocket of a hoodie either (which is what I think the perp is wearing). And I don't think that is even a logo you're seeing in that picture. It looks to me like something in the pocket is leaving that indentation.

Personally I think the Monon high bridge needs to close even without this terrible tragedy it is a huge safety concern being in a poor state condition wise. If you can't get across a bridge safely in an emergency you shouldn't be able to get across it at all. There are no railings either so it could be the scene of a tragic accident at some point.

Same here. Or at least doing some major maintainance work, adding rails, replace rotten tiles before anyone can step a foot on it.

Agreed. I personally don't think geocaching has a thing to do with this, but folks seem curious about how it works, which I get. I'm also one of the non creative sorts who can't see a logo or even a fanny pack at all no matter how I look at the photos.

Hopefully soon we'll either see an arrest or at least a bit more info to discuss.

I read the article. It did not have a video with it of the news story. I did not see anything said about a neighbor noticing foul play.

http://cbs4indy.com/2017/02/16/property-owner-talks-about-discovery-of-missing-delphi-teens-bodies/

Yes, video in link; start it at ~1:45 and listen to the reporter searcher was a volunteer then RL stated that neighbor was one of the searchers that found them next day and noticed obvious signs of foul pay after finding them

Perhaps they may think that he knows something that he doesn't even realize he knows .
I would be interested in knowing more about those friends of his sons who use to hang out and " have a place back there " ....
