Thought about this a bit. It's possible, but this wouldn't be much of a "twist" for an investigator with much more information than we have. For example, if one of the girls was murdered immediately, and the other was stabbed and died multiple hours later, the investigator would probably not call that a "twist", it would just be a tragic detail in the coroner's report. It would certainly raise questions about the timeline, motive, etc. but again, not much of a twist.
A twist is something that leads you in another direction than you were going. An example would be something like two teenage girls being brutally murdered but without any sign of sexual assault or apparent motive.
When was the "twist" comment made? Was it before or after the cellphone footage was released? It's possible the twist was simply the recording itself combined with the lack of identifying information and/or motive. That's an extremely unusual situation for any murder.
She is dressed normally, yes, but normal for a social outing.Abby is dressed the same way girls of her age dress here in Indiana.
If you look at Instagram photos of girls her age you will see that is often how they dress.
Indiana isn't some hopelessly backward state where we all wear sweats and hiking boots 24/7.
Different from the guy on the run...the childguy was arrested and tried suicide, I think.

Her and Libby had been best friends for years, and best to my knowledge Libby never lived in Michigan.I keep thinking I read that Abby and her mom had moved to Delphi recently. I wonder if they hired the same moving company that JW works (worked) at. A bit of a stretch but perhaps he noticed her then.

The area they were found was near Deer Creek (not the Wabash River), which was just over 3 feet deep at the time, give or take, as I understand it according to some flow charts posted by NiN awhile ago. If I've misunderstood the question and you really did mean the Wabash river, then I'm sorry, I don't know the answer.
@elmomom sorry idk how to respond directly to your post. Why would LE say "there is no danger to the public" and then imply there was with the "at least know what's going on in your children's lives, is all I can say right now"? IMO the LE officer was upset and let that slip.
