I have felt so sorry for RL and have stuck up for him many times on here (even though his comments have struck me as a little odd and even self centred at times). His last comment about "maybe no one will be murdered on his property in future " is so wrong. Such an insensitive, uncaring and totally inappropriate thing to say. Can't continue to ignore the selfish and narcissistic traits of this man anymore. He clearly needs the time in prison or he will just continue to do whatever he likes and put others in danger with his careless drink driving. Two girls have been murdered and he seems to be blaming them being found on his property for his current situation. Absolutely appalling.

I still stand by my belief he is not BG . I am not so sure anymore that he wouldn't know more than he is saying however.
LE last comment about him being " ...still involved in the investigation, but wouldn't label him a suspect " is very interesting indeed imo.

I am headed on a different angle but whoever the BG is sure showed confidence to commit this heinous crime in broad daylight. Planned or just a random encounter fighting whatever demons he had that afternoon.

The only way DNA would take this long is if I were doing it in my bathtub. They have known for weeks, imo, that the perp is not in the system, and clearly it does not match anyone they interviewed and tested in the early weeks. Or RL, imo.

Jmo

Or there is no DNA!

I agree I feel the same way. It is confusing to.

Couldn't agree more if I tried. Can barely get over it in fact. How was he to KNOW that one of the gals wouldn't scream, or get away?

IF we knew the photo had been scrubbed to erase an AR on his right, and IF he didn't have on the windbreaker and we saw a vest holstering multiple weapons and clips would that change your mind? Or is it more about his posture, head down, etc that makes you think he's not a hunter? (If ifs and buts...)

Almost all criminals are hunters in the sense that they are predators, looking for victims likely unable to defend themselves, locations where they won't be detected, etc. But none of that requires a firearm, let alone multiple clips (magazines), etc., or having recently been on safari. In fact, as has been widely speculated here, a firearm was likely used only to control the girls, not for their actual murders, because (1) the killer wouldn't want noise to attract attention, and (2) most sexual killers, if that's what this was, favor more personal methods of killing. An AR, and rifles in general, would be a poor choice in this case because of their extremely loud report (much louder than a handgun).

I think there may some confusion about my "professional hunter" comment. I wasn't inferring that we look at hunters, etc, but that there are predators out there, historically, and probably now, who approach killing other humans as hunters approach hunting deer, etc. They stalk, prepare their tools, etc, in a similar manner, and with the access to all the info now available at our fingertips(SM, maps, weather patterns, etc), it becomes even easier for this type of predator to operate. I wasn't trying to imply we should be looking at area hunters or outdoorsmen with added suspicion, simply that the way some SK's and professional murder-for-hire types have operated(in terms of prep/stalking, etc) is little different from the way professional hunters operate. IMO

Or there is no DNA!

I think this is a likely scenario. No Perp DNA. Especially if a gun was used and he never touched the girls. But, there may be DNA of the girls on other evidence. HVBS on BG's clothes maybe? JMO

Switching gears... I'm still very curious about RL's trip to the TS earlier in the day. He was seen on video, so what was he wearing prior to the murders!? I would love to be able to see that video! JMO

I think LE would have named him a POI or a suspect if he was wearing the same clothes.

I would think so as well. I know everyone feels this way, but darn it... I wish LE would release more info!!!! I just pray that they are closing in on the Perp and will get justice for Libby and Abby soon.

Just a thought. If RL was BG wouldn't the officers who knew RL have recognized him?

After all, they have more video and audio, if I understood correctly. And, they obviously know him; he's lived there 53 years and they have arrested him multiple times in the last few years.

ETA: Instead of an arrest for murder, we get 6000 billboards across the entire country.

I don't think they have any clue who this man is.
Unfortunately.

Wasn't he last arrested 2014?

I think even if RL was wearing the same clothes (and then was BG)--which I don't think is the case, they would wait to declare him a suspect until they could prove BG was the person who killed them. Right now, they have said they think it was BG. But they would hold their cards close to their vest I think until they had enough to convict.

Search for Delphi killer continues

My sound is messed up so I couldn't hear it.

Far behind, as usual..

Watching Leazenby's face during his statement about RL is troubling. (to me)
I have studied body language/facial expressions for quite a while and it definitely looks like he's hiding something.
(When he says "I would not attach the label suspect to him"--especially the word suspect)

I am not saying RL is involved, mind you, but there seems to definitely be some unanswered questions in Leazenby's mind regarding RL.

Then again, I could be totally wrong. Lol

I don't think they have a clue who killed the girls and aren't willing to rule anyone out completely, at this stage. moo

RL does not have to be BG to be connected to or have knowledge of the crime.
