RL does not have to be BG to be connected to or have knowledge of the crime.
I don't believe he is involved, but you are absolutely correct.

Just a thought. If RL was BG wouldn't the officers who knew RL have recognized him?
After all, they have more video and audio, if I understood correctly. And, they obviously know him; he's lived there 53 years and they have arrested him multiple times in the last few years.

ETA: Instead of an arrest for murder, we get 6000 billboards across the entire country.
If the video didn't show him committing the murders they'd need a lot more to prove a double homicide. Whether it's RL or not I hope an arrest is soon because it has to be difficult for the families to deal with. They've all been incredibly strong from what I've seen.
Agree, but they have said BG is a suspect and they believe he participated in the murders. moo
Logan, 77, put his head in one hand and wiped his eyes repeatedly with both hands after Carroll County Superior Court Judge Kurtis Fouts handed down the sentence, which was only six months shy of the maximum Logan could get.
Logansport attorney Andrew Achey asked for Fouts to be lenient, reminding him more than once that Logan is 77 years old, has lived in the county all of his life, served in the Navy, has lived in his home for 53 years and that he has a reverse mortgage on the home that requires him to live there or the property to be sold.
Logan also has health problems, but neither Achey nor Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jerry Bean would specify what those were in court.

I don't think they have a clue who killed the girls and aren't willing to rule anyone out completely, at this stage. moo
Maybe the phone was in Libby's pocket or dropped nearby so only recorded audio. It takes more than a single piece of evidence to prove murder. IMO

Well, of course. That's how LE works in basically every murder investigation. They don't like to specifically clear anyone until they arrest the actual perpetrator.
I've said the same thing a gazillion times. It wasn't the Sheriff's words, it was his facial expression while saying those words. There's something else there, IMO.
What? I have no clue.
This case is gonna drive me to :drink: pretty soon. :gaah:
Somewhere in these many threads there is a statement from LE that indicates there is more video. It said those who looked at it would see it when they closed their eyes to go to sleep, for the rest of their lives. moo
If someone has the link I'd appreciate it. TIA
Just wondering, is it normal to have higher ranking LE involved in a high profile murder case accompany transport/sentencing of a prisoner on much lesser charges which are 'unrelated to the murder case'?
no, i don't think that is standard operating procedure. A deputy could do the job.Just wondering, is it normal to have higher ranking LE involved in a high profile murder case accompany transport/sentencing of a prisoner on much lesser charges which are 'unrelated to the murder case'?
why no bullet proof vest on him with death threats?IMO, death threats made against the prisoner make it more likely higher level LE would be there.
I do not think RL is BG but I am not ruling out he was aware of the crime before ppl knocked on his door. Maybe RL found evidence on the scene while roaming his property and freaked that he would be accused of the crime due to his record and disposed of stuff at the dump. If someone was innocent then I do not know why someone would want to cover but RL did lie about buying fish. I thought about this for awhile because RL's statement about the crime area being "pristine". Did RL visit the spot where the girls were found before the search began or was he just making a statement in what he saw? ......... JMO
The suspect is filmed from quite a distance away. If there was a second person, that person should also have been in the video from that distance. The suspect approaches the girls and tells them to go "down the hill" - calm, controlled, authoritative.
Far behind, as usual..
Watching Leazenby's face during his statement about RL is troubling. (to me)
I have studied body language/facial expressions for quite a while and it definitely looks like he's hiding something.
(When he says "I would not attach the label suspect to him"--especially the word suspect)
I am not saying RL is involved, mind you, but there seems to definitely be some unanswered questions in Leazenby's mind regarding RL.
Then again, I could be totally wrong. Lol
