As to the bolded above, I wonder a similar thing.

We know the older sister dropped them off. Do we know if they stopped anyplace right before? Like stopped to get snacks for the hike at a gas station or anything?

It seems possible that someone saw the 3 girls and then followed them, saw the 2 were dropped off....and took advantage of the opportunity...:cry:

As Falling Down previously stated and I, too, nothing was random about Monday, February 13, 2017. The murderer had prior knowledge where the girls would be and proceeded accordingly. The likeliest source of prior knowledge would be some form of social media. The girls were together that weekend and had a sleepover Sunday night as there was no school Monday. A prolific amount of social media data was likely broadcast by the girls that weekend and the murderer picked up the vital information he needed to act on his plan.

Several members have posted images and maps in other threads, to provide a mental picture of the general area around the bridge, and where the murders happened.

The images, great videos, etc., I've seen, don't conjure up any idea of the spot where they ended up as "remote". Secluded, maybe, but not remote. The distance from the NE approach to the bridge, to where they ended up (below the cemetery), is maybe 900 feet, as the crow flies. The bridge is 850 feet, and from the SE approach of the bridge to the CS is maybe 600 feet or so. The creek sets in a deep ravine or valley, with steep inclines on both sides.

A small area, really, and there are nearby private properties and the cemetery.

I think it is not meant as remote regarding being a long way from anywhere but more meant as secluded, private, difficult to reach - that kind of remote. To get to it was difficult and not accessable by vehicle fot example. It is not easily seen from anywhere else and it is necessary to either cross a creek bed, or clamber down a wooded slope or access it via the rear of a cemetery and down a wooded ravine. JMO.

I don't know if he's so smart I just think he looks like any man from anywhere. While I think the sketch is a really good one, I'm not sure if people in his life are paying attention to this story. There is no way (but possible I suppose) he hasn't been seen by anyone. But then I think of Tad Cummings and how he was able to go cross country and tried joining a commune. Those commune's seem really off the grid, so it's possible, but not probable, IMO...

I've even had phone calls that the caller id showed were my own number. Never answered them and it finally stopped.

This has been something I have had in the back of my mind for a long time. I have also wondered if he could have been using a friend/family members account to watch them via social media. For instance, I can log onto my son's Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc and view everything he can. I can check who he's friends with, who is contacting him etc. I do this to protect him. Isn't it a possibility that some other sick twisted human could be doing this same thing on their son/daughter/granddaughter etc accounts for other purposes? This could also make it very hard for LE to track any type of electronic footprints due to the fact that it could just look like another 13-14 year old girl viewing her friends profile or saying "hey lets hang out!".

Just throwing theories out there. All MOO of course.

For the longest I thought I had mine set up for friends only, but it actually allowed friends of my friends to see my stuff. Do we know specifically which setting the girls SM was set to? I had a brain bleed in May and I swear my memory is still suffering!
