BBM Please don't misinterpret my saying this, Shires, because it's not intended badly AT ALL -- but it is super cracking me up that you are going back and tallying up all the posts periodically now. lololol

:giggle:
It but takes a minute to do and gives us all an idea if we are over emphasizing anyone in particular. Unless suddenly there's a big surge in the posting numbers.

RL has been sentenced for his crimes. None of which are related to the deaths of Abby or Libby. He was looked at as a POI because LE were looking at him to suss out the areas of his alibi that may not have been truthful. Turns out he was not being forthcoming for reasons of his own unrelated to the murder of the girls.

The girls were found on his land and he gave public interviews about THIS case. Discuss those to your heart's content.

This thread is not about drunk drivers, whether their penalties are too harsh or too light, whether you have sympathy for RL or not. This thread is about Abigail and Liberty.

It's time to return the focus of your discussion to the case and away from RL and his DUI convictions.

From this link:
Logan is not facing any charges in connection with the girls’ disappearance or murders. The Carroll County sheriff said he is "still involved" with the investigation, but is not considered a suspect.

IF that's a current statement from the sheriff and not a MSM re-hash, then RL must know something, why else would he be considered still involved...

I cannot find in the link where it says he is still involved in the investigation but not considered a suspect.

Your wish is my command.

Below is Inside Edition with RL's alibi.

Here's are links to two MSM articles covering why his probation was revoked:

Many threads ago, someone posted an excerpt from court documents that stated that the prosecutor had timestamped video of him at the Pizza King as well as a receipt showing that he was drinking alcohol.

I see nothing about RL lying to LE.

The article has been updated and that comment removed. moo

any MS youtube video will need prior approval by Tricia before being allowed. MS is like you or me. A case follower who started a youtube channel. He is not LE, he is not MSM. Ocassionally a youtuber/sleuth will have a specific video allowed for a very specific purpose. But on the whole they are not allowed.

Okay. My thought is if I suspected a relative of murder, I wouldn't feel badly if they were arrested for any other reason. LE is mandated to deal with whatever comes their way. If they don't consistently make arrests to uphold the law whenever warranted, then they face public allegations involving incompetence, anywhere from favouritism or downright corruption.

Even with RL, assuming he was observed drinking in public, if LE disregarded that, to be fair they'd also have to overlook every other person who violated the same type of order.

And I believe they overlooked not only the drinking (probably on several occasions)but an occasional LE pullover for driving while suspended. This time, because of the sensationalism of the murders, because of his deceptions and habitual crimes, LE had no choice but to make an example out of him. I never thought he was involved in the murders but think he knows something, unintentionally. IMO of course.

BBM. RL is an outlier here. RL’s problem is that he lied about where he was during the timeframe of the murders to cover up that he was out drinking & driving. LE was understandably suspicious when they were clearing alibis and found out that the landowner of the murder site was lying about his whereabouts during the murders. And although RL did give permission for them to search for the girls on his land, my recollection is that LE executed a search warrant to go through the buildings and his house.

I never thought RL was BG, but I also never considered him as sympathetic a character as many here do. He had already skated on 4 DUIs (at least), is considered a habitual offender, and only had probation revoked because he was out DUI’ing again. He lied to LE about his whereabouts during the murders to save his own hide. He should be cooperating fully at this point!

Yeeeessss!!!!!

Possible he was made an example of. Perhaps the trauma of the discovery of the girls found his land triggered poor judgement on his behalf. We just don't know.

Some posts have been removed. They were made regarding a video by youtuber MS. That video, which alleges to feature an email communication from a LEO, will NOT be allowed in this discussion. It may NOT be linked.

1) the email cannot be substantiated as legitimate
2) as to the rest of the content in that video about the current whereabouts of DN - our member/sleuths are more than capable of keeping track of DN via court sites and vinelink.

Please discontinue referencing the video in question.

If you don't know what I am referring to that's fine, those who do will follow what I am laying down here.

I'm surprised MP was allowed to drive through the search area....Why?

At what second mark does he drive through? I missed it.

It seems to me that if bodies were found on ones property, one would not be at ease to return there with a killer or killers at large. (Agreed?)

Therefore I would surmise that: a) One would NOT feel safe to return home if killer or killers remained at large. -OR- b) One WOULD feel safe to return home IF one was certain that killer or killers were incarcerated (or dead).

Of course one might also CHOOSE not to return home in order to avoid media scrutiny.

This brings me to thinking that IF said land owner has returned home (& I do NOT know the answer to that) it could be rather telling; an indication that the land owner feels safe in doing so.

What do y'all think about this? I've been surprised it has not been brought up.

Yes, the threads about helping as much as we can rationally.
How else can we?
What else can be discussed?

Has anyone updated an amateur profile on this BG ?

IMHO I feel that BG has already been reported to the FBI and ISP as a tip - a low level tip, just someone who sees resemblance.
IMO I think there are way over a thousand of these type of simple tips that the ISP/FBI are methodically working through.
Not only do they want to catch this killer, no one wants to make a mistake and be responsible for missing a significant clue even if it seems low likelihood of amounting to anything.

There is also an evidence scene which is thousands of square feet due to the surface area of all the leaves they scraped up and took for testing -
LE credibly has years of due diligence to do a good job tracking down every single tip and possible places to test for DNA.

Also, there was the FBI raid of the RSO’s House in Lafayette that has never been resolved as part of any other current case. (That I know of)
30 FBI forensic agents descended on and processed the home. IMO that search felt connected to the Delphi girls case due to the sheer number of agents they put on it.
