“The information was sent to the FBI. Investigators said it’s too early to link Eldridge to the Delphi murders, according to WTHR. Officials did, however, say they investigate every lead.“

Recent arrest draws comparison to sketch of suspect in murder of 2 Indiana girls

“Richmond radio station Kicks 96 reports Eldridge's case has ben forward to the FBI, but investigators say it's too early to make a connection and are not calling Eldridge a person of interest. They only say they investigate all leads that come to them, reminding people they've had nearly a half-dozen individuals reported to them based on resemblance.“

“NBC reports that while the FBI and state police are looking into the matter, they indicated it’s too soon to tell whether Eldridge should be considered a suspect in the girls’ murders. At this time, authorities are not even calling Eldridge a person of interest.“

Delphi Murders: Uncanny resemblance of man facing child molestation charges to Delphi killer sketch grabs FBI interest [Report]

“WTHR-TV reported law-enforcement officials are looking into the new Eldridge lead but were careful to note he has not been named a person of interest in the Delphi murders.

Whether or not Eldridge is eventually linked to the girls' deaths, authorities are thankful he was caught before he could potentially do harm to more kids in the Union City area.”

ISP reminds public they look into all tips in Delphi double murder case

“As of Jan. 11, investigators were saying it was too early to make any connection, and they were not calling Eldridge a person of interest in the Delphi murders.

A release from the Indiana State Police issued Monday afternoon made clear the multi-agency investigative team will be looking into whether Eldridge has any connection to the Delphi murders, just as they investigate every tip they receive.“

UNION CITY MAN NOT CONSIDERED PERSON OF INTEREST IN DELPHI MURDERS

“The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department has issued a statement saying that the man recently arrested for child molesting is not a suspect in the murder case of two Delphi girls two years ago.”

The prior article was presumably posted on Fri Jan 11.

Article I’m adding below was originally published on Jan 14 and updated today.

Delphi investigative team looking at Randolph County arrest

UNION CITY, Ind. (WTHR) – The Delphi multi-agency investigative team that has been working on the murder case of Abby Williams and Libby German, confirms that they are looking into an arrest that happened in Union City.

“Investigators examined genealogy databases — the same search method that helped lead investigators in California to alleged Golden State Killer Joseph James DeAngelo in April — in the search for Tinsley's killer, according to the affidavit.

It's still unclear how detectives Brian Martin of the Fort Wayne Police Department and Clint Hetrick of the Indiana State Police used DNA information in the Tinsley case, but the affidavit says they worked with "highly trained genealogist" CeCe Moore, a genetic genealogist.“

“We sent more evidence to the FBI at Quantico just before Christmas,” Sheriff Leazenby told Radar in an exclusive interview and said they were doing “DNA testing research,” with regards to the case.”

Snip

“This case is still very active. We’ve had 36,000 tips about Abby and Liberty and we thoroughly investigate every single one of them,” Sheriff Leazenby told Radar about the teens who were killed near the Monon Bridge where they captured video of their killer on Snapchat.”

Also noting their use of “slaughtered bodies”, LE has made no comments re: the condition of their bodies.)

Cops probe connection between 'child molester' arrested 100 miles from where teen girls were killed | Daily Mail Online
Cops working on the unsolved murder of two girls killed on Indiana train tracks are looking into a man arrested on suspicion of child molestation after the public likened his mugshot to the sketch of the killer.

Charles Andrew Eldridge, 46, was taken into custody on suspicion of child molestation on January 8 after he was caught trying to have sex with a minor in an undercover sting where the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department posed as a 13-year-old girl.

After his detainment in Union City, his mugshot drew comparisons to an earlier sketch of Abby Williams and Libby German's killer.

The Delphi multi-agency investigative team working on the double murder case have confirmed that they are looking into Eldridge's arrest.

The location is around 116 miles from where the teenagers were found dead.

But the Chief Public Information Officer for the Indiana State Police said 'many similar tips and arrests of other persons alleged to be connected to the Delphi murders occur with some frequency'.

Eldridge has been charged with two counts of child molestation, one count of attempted child molestation, and one count of child solicitation.

Delphi murders: What we know nearly two years after the slayings of Abby and Libby
Updated 9:05 a.m. MST Jan. 15, 2019

“It's been nearly two years since the Delphi murders, when the bodies of Indiana teens Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, were discovered near a wooded creek.

The deaths of Abby and Libby horrified people in Indiana and around the world. They were shocked and heartbroken when the girls' bodies were found by a search party in the woods just east of Delphi on Feb. 14, 2017. Since then, people have been transfixed by the case, following the latest news and hoping for any sign of an arrest. The emotional toll on the Delphi community has been overwhelming.“

Snip

“Key evidence in the case
There have been 30,000 leads in the case, with each one investigated by police, according to State Police Superintendent Doug Carter.

In a news conference at the Monon High Bridge trailhead Tuesday, Carter said investigators still want to hear tips. However, he cautioned people not to post theories or photos on social media, because it could complicate efforts to solve the case.“

Delphi: Officials say Internet rumors can hurt investigation

“DELPHI -- Recent articles and arrests have sparked a number of rumors as we get close to the two year mark for the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in Delphi, but investigators say spreading misinformation can actually have a negative effect on the investigation.“

Snip

“Although Indiana State Police say they know the people they call “internet detectives” mean well, their speculations and rumors on social media can do more to hinder the investigation, than to help it.”

“One rumor floating around in recent days has been the appearance of “new evidence” in the murder investigation.

Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby says he wants to stress to the public that there has not been any new evidence in the case. He says investigators are and will continue looking at the evidence they do have in new ways to make sure there isn’t something they’ve missed.

Sheriff Leazenby says all of the evidence from their investigation has been analyzed in the Indiana State Police labs as they continue to work with the FBI and Indiana State Police. He says there is no "new" evidence, but their investigators will continue to look for new ways to review the evidence that they already have.“

(My question here, “Sheriff Leazenby, can you please comment on the recent article by RO claiming a direct quote from you that new evidence was sent to Quantico before Christmas time? I’d like to please never quote this sleazy source again if you can confirm their story to be BS as they’re now making comments in Jayme Closs’ case which goes against what LE has said there as well.”)

Man's mugshot draws comparisons to sketch of Indiana teens' suspected killer
January 20, 2019

“After receiving multiple calls, Capt. Dave Bursten of the Indiana State Police assured the public the task force dedicated to finding the teens' case investigates every tip.

“I can promise you this: When an arrest is made of a suspect identified ... as the alleged perpetrator of the Delphi Murders, rest assured, we will let everyone know," Bursten said in a statement.”

Accused child molester investigated in 2017 murders of Indiana teens: report
January 20, 2019

“Nearly two years after their tragic deaths, the murders of Abby and Libby are still raw in the Delphi community, comprised of just 2,877 people and located in the farmlands about an hour from Indiana.”

Snip

“Capt. Dave Bursten, the chief public information officer for the Indiana State Police, assured the public that all tips submitted about the murders are investigated, whether they are publicized or not. He added that members of the multi-investigative team can't comment on specific actions taken in an ongoing case.

“We know it’s hard for the public and media to resist posting side-by-side comparisons on social media of people who are alleged to have committed heinous crimes and also resemble the sketch of the Delphi murder suspect," Bursten said.

The only positive result from these actions is it keeps this open investigation in the mind of the public," he continued. "What we really appreciate is when the public submits their tip information to either the tip email address of [email protected] or calls the tip line at (844) 459-5786 to pass along their information.”“

"Upon his arrest, Eldridge reportedly told officers he's had multiple sexual encounters with another child under the age of 13. "

If he's confessing about crimes, I hope he includes confessing about the murders too when interrogated.

source: Man with obsession with missing children cases being investigated for rail tracks murders | Daily Mail Online

“The former security guard posts almost daily about cases of missing children.”

Snip

“Across the two social media pages the suspect has shared hundreds of posts relating to murder, sex crimes, missing children and evasive killers.

Eldridge had also shared several stories about the murder of Abby and Libby.

He posted public appeals and a story about potential DNA evidence, as well as the sketch of the suspect the public believes he looks like, bearing the tagline 'Pass it around. [He] Could be anywhere.'“

Indiana police investigating new lead in cold case murder of two teens

“"Until we know that this is the guy, we're not saying it's the guy, and we're still looking for the guy, so that's where we are at right now," Abigail's mother Anna Williams said.

Mike Patty, Liberty's grandfather, said was optimistic that this could be a new lead in the case.

"Once we get that phone call that, 'Hey, we've made an arrest and we're confirmed,' then I guess, maybe a celebration ain't the right word, but a sense of relief that this guy's been taken off of our streets," Patty said.”

From Inside Edition today. They also interviewed Libby's grandparents. Hoping for them...

Grandparents of Murdered Delphi Teen Say Having a Suspect 'Would Allow Us to Move On'

Eldridge is an avid hiker and former security guard. He shared posts on social media appealing for information in Abby and Libby's case.

Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow said Eldridge's interest in missing children could be concerning.

"People who have a perverse interest in young girls sexually and who may have violent intentions toward them besides their sexual interest may find it titillating for whatever reason to comment on missing children," he said. "But the fact that he did also makes it very important for police to take this tremendously seriously."

Not MSM but no doubt it’s the real Tobe Leazenby.

Main questions discussed

Why was search called off that night and did they have a habit of coming home late, not informing parents/guardians exactly where they’d be

What do they mean by RL is covered but not cleared

Why did they tell locals there is no immediate threat/danger

Indiana man who looks like Delphi suspect is 'weird' and 'violent' | Daily Mail Online
EXCLUSIVE: Accused child molester who looks like sketch of suspected murderer of two teen girls was 'violent weirdo obsessed with hiding in the woods'
By Louise Boyle In Union City, Indiana
23 Jan 2019, updated 24 Jan 2019

“Now the grandparents of Eldridge's ex-wife, Erin, have exclusively told DailyMail.com that they have long seen a comparison between Eldridge, who is known as Andy, and the FBI sketch from the Delphi murders.

Donna Clack, 76, said: 'When we saw that picture on the news, we said that looks like Andy. We placed [the sketch] with Andy before this.'

Her husband Robert, 77, described Eldridge as 'weird'. 'He was totally different, he was always talking about guns,' he said.“

Snip

“Mr Clack said that Eldridge was fond of spending time in the woods. 'He was always out there, dressed in Army clothes.'

Mrs Clack said: 'He would always go out and he wasn't hunting. He would go in the woods and what he'd do, we don't know. I never let any of the kids go with him. I never trusted Andy.'”
