Wow, how big of a town is Evansville? Thats a lot of arrests for one day.

Around 120k people.

ETA: That is quite a few arrests at one time. Not really surprising, considering the small towns around (under 2k people) usually have 5-6 each day with some of the bigger busts 12-15. Meth is just a huge problem everywhere in the state (and country)!

I looked at arrests for the prior day and it was around 25 arrests (mostly non-drug related). Yesterday was well over that. They had a 5-month long investigation and took down a multi-state drug ring.

One thing I find curious is EPD saying some of these people are cleared of involvement, like ex-BF Marty and the guy that got pipeslapped by Wollner? How can they clear anyone, since they don't even know when Aleah was taken? Considering they are almost all dangerous felons?

Maybe they have alibi's for the timelines the LE have?

Thought about Aleah all night. It's odd for me to feel so attached to someone I never met. Hoping today is the day she is found. For all the struggles she had in life, she deserves better than this in death.

Human remains found in Henderson County.

Unlikely that this is Aleah because the articles say that authorities believe the body was there less than 3 years so with such a large number, I'm guessing they believe it was there for a long time without being found.

From the first link:

KSP has confirmed that the remains are not Aleah Beckerle, the Evansville teen who has been missing for more than three weeks.

The Henderson man who found the remains tells us he was swimming with friends at Geneva Beach around 3 p.m. Tuesday. He says he swam across the river, on a raft, and took a rest on another small beach area. He says he looked down and saw a human skeleton under a tree.

From the first link:

Looks like they updated it about half an hour after I posted. I figured it wasn't her. Sad that yet another body has surfaced. So many recently. :(

That video upthread of the man with the injuries is confusing to me. The headline is that a woman was arrested for beating a confession out of a man, but he is saying that he was told by someone that the young lady was taken from the house at 2:30am, and taken in a silver car across the bridge to Henderson and Marty beat him up to keep him from telling what he knew.

What is going on here and who is Marty?

This is interesting, Marty who was beaten into a false confession was arrested. Per the article Marty is another ex-boyfriend of Cara Beckerle. I am also still not convinced that DeMarco is Aleah's father. I don't think anyone in the media has clarified this but there has been a lot of discussion about it locally. Here's my personal opinion the type of men she brought around her daughters should be enough to have her children removed from her home a long time ago.

Thank goodness someone found will be laid to rest with dignity.

I don't know if you followed the Bella Grogan-Canella case, but I think the vast majority of us felt exactly the same way in that little girl's situation. Sadly, we see it A LOT.

I don't believe the men are the only problems. It's all the adults in her life, IMO.

Indiana has free access to search online for criminal and civil cases, if you look at some of the characters
involved and their history I have to agree it's all of the adults. I struggle to understand the number times you can be arrested on a felony for drugs, domestic violence, etc and manage to stay out of prison.

I saw them all, thanks, thats why I made that comment, it's so sad that she wasn't protected. I'm more surprised MSM hasn't searched the records and reported the findings. They do in other cases.

I think maybe the media is trying to be somewhat sensitive to the family maybe? This is where you need the national media. A local news anchor did post the last family interview on YouTube in a raw unedited form. I didn't want to repost if the link was already posted here but it was even more bizarre than the others. There are some local reporters that are starting to dig which is why I believe that raw unedited interview was posted on YouTube. A body language expert could have a field day with that video. I also believe the fact that the FBI was brought in early is a factor in how local law enforcement is handling information. We do have a good prosecutor and the Evansville Police Department tends to be thorough. Just my opinion but I believe they are building their case and making sure there are no holes before they move to arrest. If she was in a river or creek she would have shown up by now. A boy fell in Pigeon Creek over the weekend and they found his body the following day. It flows into the Ohio and we've had a lot of rain and more on the way. I am not sure if they have checked the ponds or the landfill, if they have they are not reporting this to the public. The national media absolutely needs to pick this up.

BBM

LE has cleared these men because LE has evidence to the contrary; they already have, IMO, pretty solid forensic and/or circumstantial evidence showing who is (are) responsible for Aleah's disappearance. For example (and I do not mean to say this is what happened in this case), LE might have found that a piece of carpet had been torn out and replaced with a new piece of carpet in Aleah's room, at which time they could have gone to local home improvement stores and discovered security video footage at one of them, showing someone close to Aleah purchasing a piece of carpet around the time of her disappearance. Or, they could have also found that there were no dirty diapers (unless garbage had just been picked up the day before), or any supplies (e.g., necessary to prepare food for Aleah specifically) in the home. Further, they might have been interviewing neighbors, who all have told them that they hadn't seen Aleah in the last couple of weeks. These types of evidence alone, however, may not be enough to convince a judge or jury, so I think that they are working on finding more.

Also, if it turns out that family is involved (and this is something we all have seen in many cases): How can these people continue to plead to the public for support? Perfect strangers are taking time out of their busy schedules to look for Aleah in 80-, 90-degree weather. Others are donating food and water. Talk about mind-boggling ....

So an account has been set up to help raise money for the reward and for search efforts. I googled abduction accounts and most of them are for medical kidnapping etc.... Has anyone else heard of this being done?
