IN - Aliahna Maroney Lemmon, 9, Fort Wayne, 23 Dec 2011 - #1

I know emotions are running high, but there is minimal information being reported right now about the crime itself, so please no bashing, name calling or rumors folks.

Respectfully, just to clarify. It has been linked and proven upthread that grandpa was a convicted child molester and died earlier this month. We've also learnt, linked and proven upthread, that the person arrested for Aliahna's murder is also a convicted felon and had warrants in another state.

While this information is new to us, it is clearly not new news to Aliahana's family and those who chose to place their children in the care and home of these persons.

Are we not to discuss our opinion based on these already proven and known facts?

Just want to make sure I stay within TOS.

thank you.

Is it confirmed 2 people were arrested? Who is the other person? I honestly and truly cannot wrap my head around this. I have been sucked into this website since Michelle Parker went missing, and while you all seem like really awesome people, I just don't think I'm cut out for this. My heart hurts for these children. I just don't get it.

Investigators do not believe any other individuals had knowledge as to what happened to Lemmon.

I did have an article just a minute ago that said she was found at the trailer, but when I refreshed it to post the link that had changed to say Northern Allen County. So I am not sure either.

About 1/2 hr ago it said "missing girl found dead" on the 'wane' site but when I clicked on the link it came up as an "error"..When I refreshed it was completely gone..A few mins later it was back & posted as the top story. :waitasec:

I guess we can assume she did not go to a private Catholic school? I believe the little girl I saw at the Townhouse Retirement Home who looked so much like Ali was with a group of 3 classrooms that sang Christmas songs.

Anything is possible, do you have any photos? Do you recall what she was wearing? (asking if it was the dress she was reported to last be seen wearing)

Police have arrested Michael Plumadore, 39, Fort Wayne, and charged him with murder. He’s due to be arraigned in court Tuesday morning. Plumadore was a friend of the family, according to police.

Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries said, “Unfortunately tonight, the search came to a conclusion we’d hoped wouldn’t happen. After three different interviews with one of the individuals involved, he was taken into custody tonight about 9 p.m. and charged with murder.”

Fries would only say her body was discovered in northern Allen County.

Lemmon was reported missing on Dec. 23 and investigators believe the crime occurred sometime before that time.

Detectives and the FBI gathered enough information on the third interview, according to Fries. Enough information was gathered to bring officials to the conclusion of the investigation.

Fries would not disclose the motive for the killing, or the manner of death in Lemmon’s murder.

The Sheriff said Lemmon’s body was discovered shortly after the interview was conducted around 9 p.m. Monday evening.

What a sick SOB!!!!!! Poor baby. Why in the holy heck were those children staying with him? I hate him. Hate.

It is so devastating following these cases and getting to know the victims and their loved ones. It is comforting to know that this child is at the right hand of God. She no longer feels pain or sorrow. She has already forgiven and is experiencing rebirth in the most glorious paradise. Have faith in Christ even though we witness evil at it's worse! God bless each and everyone of you for your dedication to truth and justice for victims of these horrible evil acts! I am glad to be part of this group of caring people!

based on what I have read, some just speculation- if she was in the trailer, maybe he disposed of a weapon? I wonder what makes a molester turn into a murderer? In my experience, he had her change into her party dress.

On the other hand...

Don't the police check the last place she was seen, thoroughly? I specifically remember 2 cases where the child was found in the home sleeping in a bizarre place. How many places can you hide a body in a trailer? so perhaps she wasn't found in the trailer, it's just the crime scene, she was disposed of at the dumpster.

I disagree that because someone is a felon it's easy to see them becoming a child molester and a murderer. Does he have to plead on Tuesday? I am assuming he will plead not guilty so his lawyer can prepare a case and possible plea bargain---

As far as I know it has not been confirmed or stated whether or not Aliahna was sexually abused. We don't know yet.

If I read between the lines in this article, it sounds to me like he confessed and led them to her body.

Would the trailer be considered "North Allen County"?

According to court records, Plumadore has a previous conviction of forgery and auto theft dating to 2007.

psst...they might want to call Florida and get ALL of his charges before they start listing his priors...:furious:

This guy won't show on Vinelink just being arrested. He's in a county jail and hasn't been formally charged possibly unless I missed that part. The threads are flying!

So, from this statement, it could be a week possibly before the 23rd or only a day, but I'm thinking she was out for vacation possibly on the Friday the week before. 19th? Did he promise a Christmas for the girls during mom's illness & her duress of her father dying? Oh gosh, why even try to make sense of it, it's dang time this stops! Aliahna was just a kid. RIP lil one. gah

Yes the trailer location would be considered northern Allen County and I believe she went to Holland Elementary school

"I had deadbolted the door," he said. "When I got back, all the girls was here."

He said he smoked his cigar and went back to sleep about 6:30 a.m. He woke up about 10 a.m. when Aliahna's mother called. After that call, he realized the door to the home was unlocked and that Aliahna was gone. He said Aliahna's sisters, both 6 years old, told him that Aliahna had left with her mom.

I just keep coming back to this. Those are direct qoutes, meaning that they spoke to him directly. And just where, I wonder, was that interview conducted? I believe it may have been at his home. And where was Aliahna at that time? Possibly in that trailer.

LE please take a good look at him for other murders. He is no first timer.

She was wearing a long brown sweater/coat with a wide belt of same fabric, possibly attached, I think with pants or leggings underneath. Very very sad face, vacant stare. I watched her during the program and it seemed to me she was either sad or so traumatized by something that she had "vacated" and didn't even inhabit her body. She looked right at me for the longest time and did not respond one whit to nonverbal cues. When I walked right by her after program was over and smiled/waved, then spoke, her eyes followed me with a vacant stare but she did not show a single grain of reaction. Hearing about Ali's visual impairment made me wonder if this was the case for this girl or if this was indeed Ali herself. She looked just like her. She was very short also, shorter than classmates by a good bit. Was Ali short?

I read it that way too but I think it may have been poor wording. I think they may mean that the crime occurred before the time she was reported missing at 8:45 pm.
I read somewhere that LE believe Aliahna was killed the day she was reported mssing.
