I may have missed it but there was a poster ( sorry new to boards so I have not been able to remember names) that was talking to someone who reported that MP was on the sex offender registry. I know he wrote to her saying he had some personal stuff to deal with and would get back to her when he got more info just wondering if he was able to get around to it yet.

It is me who is in contact with the reporter, of which, his last contact with me was on December 29, 2011 @10:55 AM.

He wrote the following:

Hi Patty...

I've been called out of town on a family emergency, and have had limited communication. At a distance, I'm trying to find out if the former address for the shelter home he was living in had such a designation at one time, causing the confusion. But they've moved and most everyone I try to find is on some sort of limited schedule for the holiday week. I'm still trying, though.

Steve

Since he is out of town and we are still in a holiday, I don't expect to hear back from him until the end of this week at the earliest.

It also appears that MP may have been living in a place, of which, may have been designated for a SO and when LE went to check on the SO, they found MP there. More then likely they ran a background on MP finding a warrant out of Indiana.

There is nothing, anywhere, indicating the MP was ever a SO. Actually, at this point, we are not 100% sure he ever molested Ali.

As soon as I hear something from Steve, I will post it.

The chances are that the children and grandchildren of a man who died aged 77 fourteen years ago are adults by now IMO.

You may have to change some of those names (esp minors if any) to initials only. IDK for sure ...

Can you link to that obit too please?

Yes, PLEASE do not post any full names of minors. Edit to initials. If your post self-edit time has expired, please alert and a mod can edit it for you.

So, IOW words, she put her pedofile fathers needs ahead of her own childrens needs - when she made the choice to move into that TP.

JMO

Maybe she thought he was innocent. Maybe she thought he was being unfairly accused out of vengeance or something like that. Maybe, since he was on his deathbed, she wanted to be close to him and have her kids get the final chance to know their dying grandfather.

I am NOT saying it was the right decision. But in a purely dysfunctional home, the decision may have seemed right to her at the time. Especially if she were convinced he was an innocent man.

Graveside service is 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. today at Ward Funeral Home.
A native of Henderson, Mr. Faulkner was son of the late Lecie Strickland Faulkner and a retired electrician (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of VFW Post 9337.
Survivors include daughters, Lecie Puckett of Gastonia and Teresa Melton of Shelby; and grandchildren, Brandy Thompson of Ft. Pierce, FL, Jason Thompson and Michael Plumadore, both of Shelby, and Barbara Puckett Dean of Rock Hill, SC.3

Barbara Puckett of Rock Hill has a fb - but I don't see any connection on FB with the others named in this obit...

I think there are posts regarding two obits. The information I posted is within a family tree posted online. All of the grandchildren (cousins of Plumadore) are adults.

Ok, now I am really confused. I thought the reason TS moved her family to MD was to stay in touch with the friends daughter who resided in MD?

So then they did move to MD to be near the friend in MD?

The way I read it, the Facebook page for Aliahna was created to stay in touch with the friend's daughter in MD, after TS moved to IN for the purpose of taking care of the ailing RSO.

Attention please. :)

I love the reference lists. Thank you! All these people seem so intertwined - ex's, currents, formers, step, biological... yikes.

This is the thing - we can't use FULL NAMES of anyone not named in the MSM, released by LE or come forward on their own. HOWEVER, I agree that a lot of these characters with records, particularly the RSOs, could prove to be relevant.

So here is the deal -

Identify then by using acronyms. Use initials. When there are duplicate first/last name initials, add another letter. (e.g., KK, KtK, KsK) and cross-reference the intials identifying them as to their relationship to the the perp or to Aliahana - (e.g., former brother-in-law, ex-stepdad, etc...)

That is as far as we need to go until we have further evidence or statements. Keep in mind some of these people may be completely innocent. I would rather err on the side of protecting the innocent. It would be irresponsible of us to permit someone's name be dragged into this ugly, horrid mess who has turned their life around, kwim?

Please bump this post as needed for those who might miss it. :tyou:
Bump
This is what I was referring to on changing names to initials. FYI, it will probably be on the first page of subsequent threads ... it's on page 1 of this one.

It’s the devil you know.

According to national studies, as many as 93 percent of victims of childhood sexual or physical abuse were harmed by someone they knew.

In her 15 years as a prosecutor, Richison believes no more than 5 percent of child abuse cases, sexual or otherwise, involved someone not known to the victim.

Not only are the perpetrators known to the victims, she said, often their behavior had been suspected or known for years.

And she is angry at the inability or unwillingness of families to look at the danger posed by potential abusers in their midst.

“I get really upset because so often it really doesn’t come as a surprise to people,” she said. “Or I should say it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

“If it’s been talked about in your family, then why in the world … ,” she asked, letting the question hang in the air.

Ed Periera, a Marion-based social worker who counsels victims and perpetrators alike, said the abuse suffered within families can cause distorted thinking that makes further abuse possible.

He hears stories from parents who themselves were abused by their parents who are shocked to find out that the grandparents molested the grandchildren.

The original victim, the parent, often believes that the abuse happened to them because they are different somehow. So they keep it a secret and don’t see it as a real possibility to others in the family, Periera said.

“A sexual offender can move within this family with impunity because nobody is telling on him. Also there’s this distorted belief that ‘I’m the only one,’ ” he said.

The rationalization often centers on gender, Richison said.

The victim believes the family member who abused won’t abuse a child of a different gender, failing to account for the fact that often child sexual abuse is not based on gender but on the age of the child, she said.

“They’re attracted to children,” she said.

One thing that struck me as well, is the common behavioral patterns of parents in Domestic Violence situations. "My spouse beats me but he would never harm the kids." If my neighbor struck his wife, there would be no reason why I wouldn't think he wasn't capable of hitting me. Same thing with cheating. If they would cheat with you, they will cheat on you. Same thing with lying. If they would lie to you they will lie to someone else. Same thing with stealing. If they would steal from someone else they will steal from you. I could go on and on. But these are important lessons.

The molester is not TYPICALLY some guy in a trench coat lurking behind a tree. For a molester family doesn't mean the same thing that it does to us. It means a convenient victim. Molesters love no one but themselves. And even at that, they may not even love themselves.

I have a friend who loves George Clooney-type. Or the "idea" of him. GC has already publically declared that he will never marry again...all MSM accounts say the same thing. She holds out for that guy who is not going to commit. As if saying to herself, "I am somehow different than everyone else, I am special, I can get him to commit..." Uh...no. Not so much....

Thanks for the edit, hkhart! :)

I backread to see exactly which post might have contained minors' names. In this case, they probably would have been alright for this reason - This is an obit from 1997 - over 14 years ago, so more than likely that none of these are still minors. We know for sure that Plumadore isnt't a minor, kwim? Still, until we know for sure, better safe that sorry.

Do you by any chance have a link for this obit? Did it come from an old paper or public records site?

ETA: Sorry, I see you posted the link below. I can add it to your original post it is all in one place. :)

Y'all are doing some great sleuthing here!

That turned out to be an error and Billisbobby deleted the post. The article he had linked turned out to be about the grandfather, not MP.

As far as has been determined so far MP was not on any sex offender lists yet.

People are discussing 2 different things. The article I posted last night was about the gp not MP.

PattyG posted something different about MP. imoo

Does anyone have any of MP's usernames for different websites, like FB? I have a couple resources that might get me somewhere with that.

TIA.
