GUILTY IN - Amanda Blackburn, 28, pregnant, murdered, Indianapolis, 10 Nov 2015 #4

Today is Palm Sunday. Thinking of Amanda and her baby, as well as her family as the height of Easter season draws near.

Yep. With LOTS of DNA, no doubt.

I'm going to hazard a guess that these goons weren't smart enough to even think about gathering the casings. The fact that they left beer and wine bottles behind at the second house after drinking out of them speaks volumes.

Beautifully said max.
But LT hasn't been a toddler for many years.
I do not make excuses for him. If i could have my way, it would be a public hanging. For him, and every single man or woman who perpetuates disgusting, inhuman crimes like this one.
Personally, I'd like to give them a chance, prior to their execution to plead for their lives, just like their victims did.
Then. I would pull the lever.
Imo, there is no saving a murding, rapist, home invasion, cruel monster.
He's ruined beyond repair. Gone.
Doubt that I'll be called for jury duty. Too bad.

QUOTE=MaxManning;12263607]It's very troubling to see all the kids in the facebook pictures of these guys and their associates with their children. You have toddlers throwing up gang signs and obviously idolize their father. It's that cycle that just keeps on perpetuating.

We don't know exactly what happened to these guys in their youth, but it is often such that they have been abused themselves. Those of us who have not been damaged in this way, cannot understand what that feels like. I am in no way making excuses for these individuals or saying they should be given a lesser sentence or leniency. However, I am saying that you might possibly feel more empathy for the toddler LT, than the product of his childhood.

So that's why seeing all those pictures breaks my heart, because we see the human wheels rolling in that direction. We know the parents aren't likely to change that course.

So while I know that some might disagree with me, I believe giving forgiveness that isn't deserved is an example that can potentially change a person. It's not logical, and therefore the person has to confront the meaning and the origins of that decision.

Not saying to cut the guy loose, but forgiveness is likely the only thing that can change his trajectory. We do see stories like this where inmates are contacted by the family who lost a love one at their hands, and speaking forgiveness. His trajectory should never leave a jail cell, but the example if taken to heart can be spread to others before their trajectory lands them in the same jail cell. I don't know that Larry has a child or younger brother/sister or nephew/niece. But that's really the best you can hope for.

Maybe he's too far gone, very possible. But I do believe in forgiveness. Consequences however, should remain.[/QUOTE]

Working out plea deals, I would guess. I can't imagine it going to trial, but the death penalty might be in play? Indiana has it I can't remember if they are going for it.
