GUILTY IN - Amanda Blackburn, 28, pregnant, murdered, Indianapolis, 10 Nov 2015 #4

I am beyond frustrated that other scenarios are forbidden from discussion. I am not a conspiracy theorist (not even close). But sometimes there may be other motives and scenarios, especially in a case like this one which has so many bizarre coincidences. I remain confused about why some cases are allowed discussion about multiple scenarios, but this one does not.
<rs&bbm>

Circumstances differ among cases. Here, LE has not given the slightest indication that the husband is a suspect, nor even a POI. In fact, LE stated he was cleared. Should that change down the road, then the guidelines will change.

As of now, barring a scenario where the husband or any other named individual is responsible, most any other idea is fine so long as it works with the facts provided by LE.
VICTIM FRIENDLY

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civil and constructive way, and only when such behavior is relevant to the case.

The "victim friendly" rule extends to the family members of victims and suspects. Sleuthing family members, friends, and others who have not been designated as suspects is not allowed. Don't make random accusations, suggest their involvement, nor bash and attack them. Posting their personal information, including names, addresses, and background data -- even if it is public -- is not allowed.

Rules: Etiquette & Information

And just to add on a personal, non-admin note, there might be a heap of evidence which suggests the husband is not a very nice person. He might be a total jackass. But I've not read one fact that ties him into the murder of his wife. A ton of conjecture, a boatload of misinformation, but no facts.

A lot depends on the removal of her underwear.

If this was done in attempt at sexual assault.

I've heard of many murders where there is no semen but investigators still believe a sexual element was the motive.

If the motive WAS some sort of sexual one, that changes Everything.

IMO.

In my life, I've been given the opportunity to be close to a select few people who possess a certain glow. Fact. There is a glowing white aura of purity that surrounds them. Opinion. I believe this is what Amanda possessed. Opinion. IMHO, it is a halo that is God-given to those who choose to love Him with their whole heart. They are the anointed ones. JMO

Just to say

Amanda was one of THE most beautiful brides I've ever seen

her dress was to die for

Evie would've been a stunner too no doubt

So sad such waste

Amanda actually DID good also, as well as look good

Terrible, horrific crime.

I have a question about the Timeline. Do we know if the home invaders brought the beer and wine into the Sunnyfield Ct home or if those items were already inside the home? The way the article is written, the words that are in quotes appear to be a direct quote from the 911 call.

8:17 a.m. – A resident on the 2800 block of Sunnyfield Court calls 911 to report a burglary at her home. Four televisions and a MacBook Pro were stolen, along with a bag of oranges. The suspects also "drank beer and wine and left the bottles in the home."

I understood it as the beer and wine belonged to the homeowner and the burglars helped themselves, but that is just my interpretation of the information.

I disagree. I don't think most burglars go in with weapons. Their goal is in and out with something of value they can use or sell. Carrying a weapon and breaking into somebody's home is another whole ballgame. That take you into the big leagues.

I offer this from a former burglar on https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130908165000AA7DtRN

Yeah, I could be wrong. Maybe it's just the ones that get caught in situations like this,usually have them. I don't know what the statistics are, but seems like these guys had weapons. I don't know that I'd use answers.yahoo.com to support the statistics, but , I'll admit I just don't know :)

Arrest records reported to the FBI indicate that approximately 70 percent of all burglary arrestees are white and 86 percent are male. Over 28 percent of those are under 18 years of age.

Over 50 percent of burglars live within two miles of the home they burglarize. Most burglars are not violent, do not carry weapons and work quickly.

The average burglary is over in less than 12 minutes. - See more at: http://simplisafe.com/blog/how-much-do-you-know-about-burglaries#sthash.v2iKZlM4.dpuf

This is an interesting read. http://alarmsystemsoklahoma.com/things-to-know-to-avoid-getting-your-home-robbed/

Thanks for the stats. I guess maybe my impression comes from so many of these high visibility cases, like the blackburns, involve armed perpetrators.

But either way, I think if you are doing such a thing, you run the risk of entering a home with someone who is armed. And once again, when it comes to you or them, they will choose themselves. That's how it works. As I said, it comes with the territory and intentions don't mean anything in that situation - imo.

Anyone that burglarizes a house is putting themselves and the inhabitants to a potentially fatal situation. No matter how much they do to avoid that situation, it happens. You can't count statistics for situations that don't occur. If every burglar ran into a situation where the resident was armed with knife or gun and struggle occurred - how many would choose to let the victim kill them as opposed to killing/hurting them ?

It's a dangerous business and anyone entering into that situation is putting everyone involved, including themselves, potentially in mortal danger. jmo

Why I feel that I am being singled out to be publicly humiliated on this forum I cannot say but the feeling is not pleasant.

I don't think anyone is singling you out, I think that often the issue is us all being careless with our wording at times or we misunderstand. I've only been here a short time, but I've never sensed that anyone was singling anyone out.

I do think the black SUV plays into all this somehow, but I think that goes even more to the evidence of it being burglary. We have all wondered where they fit these tvs etc. ABull driving the SUV ? Seems to make the most sense since he was in constant contact with them.

So what are those other2 murder charges ? from a previous burglary ?

They all have the same case number, so they must relate to Amanda and baby? I wonder if there is some clerical duplication going on.

 • #333
I'm guessing a couple of years until there will be a trial? Seems once they are arrested we hear nothing. Then it's all preparing for trial. Attorneys, filings. Will there be another court appearance? I am thinking one will be due soon.

No, all 14 counts under Case No. 49G05-1511-MR-041732 result from the crimes committed that morning, including the burglaries and thefts at the other two residences.

The first murder count is murder with willful intent. Count 2 is murder in the course of a burglary, and Count 3 is murder in the course of a robbery. Then there's the fourth count of murder added on November 22, the "enhancement".

Indiana Code - Section 35-42-1-1: Murder

A person who:
(1) knowingly or intentionally kills another human being;

(2) kills another human being while committing or attempting to commit arson, burglary, child molesting, consumer product tampering, criminal deviate conduct, kidnapping, rape, robbery, human trafficking, promotion of human trafficking, sexual trafficking of a minor, or carjacking;

3) kills another human being while committing or attempting to commit:
(A) dealing in or manufacturing cocaine or a narcotic drug (IC 35-48-4-1);
(B) dealing in or manufacturing methamphetamine (IC 35-48-4-1.1);
(C) dealing in a schedule I, II, or III controlled substance (IC 35-48-4-2);
(D) dealing in a schedule IV controlled substance (IC 35-48-4-3); or
(E) dealing in a schedule V controlled substance; or

(4) knowingly or intentionally kills a fetus that has attained viability (as defined in IC 16-18-2-365);
commits murder, a felony.

All the charges are enumerated in the first few pages of the charging docs.

I noticed too on the same site that he has an FBI number also. Does that mean he got caught up in a Federal database?
Taylor? Prior to this he was only charged as an adult with public nudity and indecency. He's only 18.

Right after they were charged I read they were due back in court in January. Then today I saw where no date has been set yet.

I wonder if DNA from the wine and beer bottles may have led to any previous crimes. I also can't help wonder if she was the intended target (I always walk my Husband to the car and give him a smooch when he leaves early and our dog will follow for his morning ritual. It could have been as simple as taking out the trash or checking on the garden. I know DB left the door open but that doesn't mean that she never opened it again. Either way some trigger happy kid was kicking about looking to be the man. So there ya go boss-you're the man.

In their few months/years these boys spent trying to be ballers and all of their wasted years to come they will never see the beauty and love and colour that she did in her 27 years. That will always belong to her and hers, just as it should be.

This is a new generation of <modsnip>. They have NO value for human life.

That take what they want. It's a sad world we are living in today.

I'm reviewing the Press Conference announcing Criminal Charges against Taylor and Watson.

Timestamp [8:21] Det. Converse, I think (?), is speaking: "It started with the initial burglary and then evidence in that burglary led us to the subsequent burglaries and the homicide."
Q: ...What was this?
LE: "Opportunity, I think. They took the opportunity to take one burglary and it led to another. And in doing the others, it led to the opportunity to do the last one."

This statement seems more intentional than random. Something in the first burglary led to the second. I wonder what that could be? I'm not suggesting to sleuth victims, btw. Just pondering out loud how the first burglary could have led to the "opportunity" to do another so far away.
