All 4 of LT's cases have a Nov 19 date at 9:30. The AB trial is still set for 12/06. The other 3 cases have another PTC set for 12/06 but no other dates yet.

I really appreciate it when the court adds a bit of explanation in the entries. I'm cautiously optimistic that Amanda's friends and family will see Taylor be found guilty before Christmas.

Okay - I put this together over the weekend - so if anyone finds any "errors" please let me know - as I have not followed this case.

Monday, December 6th:
*Trial set to begin (Blackburn murder) (@ 9am CT) & Pretrial Hearings (other charges/Hernandez murder) (@ 9:30am CT) - IN - Amanda Blackburn (28) (was 12 weeks pregnant shot to death, Nov. 10, 2015, Indianapolis) - *Larry Jo Taylor, Jr. (18/now 24) arrested & charged (11/23/15) & arraigned (11/25/15) with murder willful intent, murder in the course of a burglary, murder in the course of a robbery, murder enhancement, carrying a handgun without a license, criminal confinement, 2 counts burglary (11/10/15), 2 counts of theft (11/10/15), 3 counts of rape (11/3/15), robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (11/3/15), public indecency & public nudity. Plead not guilty. Held without bond.
Watson & Gordon confessed that Taylor was the shooter. In the Nov. 3, 2015 case, tests found that Taylor's DNA matched samples found on the victim & her clothing.
Trial set to begin on 12/6/21 for Blackburn murder only.
12/1/21: Pretrial hearing on 12/6/21 @ 9:30am for other charges besides murder.
*Rolando Gonzalez-Hernandez (26) (shot to death, Nov. 4, 2015, Indianapolis) - Larry Jo Taylor, Jr. (18/now 24) charged (12/29/15) with murder, felony murder & robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.
12/1/21: Pretrial hearing on 12/6/21 @ 9:30am.
Amanda Blackburn (28) (was 12 weeks pregnant shot to death, Nov. 10, 2015, Indianapolis) - *Diano Cortez Gordan (24/now 30) arrested (11/19/15) on unrelated charges for parole violation. Plus charged (1/14/16) with 2 counts of murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, 2 counts of burglary, theft, intimidation, criminal confinement & battery resulting in moderate bodily injury. Plead not guilty.
Gordon: Change of plea (4/5/21) Plead guilty. Case #49D31-1601-MR-001659-Plea on 5/23/18: 1-4 & 6 were all dismissed. 1) Murder, 2) Murder, 3) Burglary, 4) Theft where value of property is, 6) Habitual Offender & Plea by agreement: 5) Robbery W/serious bodily injury.
Case #49D31-1512-F4-043993-Plea on 5/23/18: 2, 4, 5 were all dismissed. 1) Burglary, burglary of a dwelling, 2) Theft where value of property is between $750 & $50k, 3) Burglary, burglary of a dwelling, 4) Theft where value of property is between $750 & $50k, 5) Habitual Offender & Plea by Agreement: 1) Burglary, burglary of a dwelling & 3) Burglary, burglary of a dwelling. Sentencing on 12/17/21.
Larry Jo Taylor Jr. & Jalen Watson have been charged & arraigned (12/22/15) for their alleged roles in a burglary & rape of a woman November 3 at her west side apartment.
Amanda Blackburn (28) (was 12 weeks pregnant shot to death, Nov. 10, 2015, Indianapolis) - *Jalen Emmanuel Watson (21/now 27) arrested & charged (11/23/15) & arraigned (11/25/15) with 2 counts of murder, 2 counts burglary, 3 counts of theft, armed robbery, auto theft (11/3/15), criminal confinement & breaking & entering (11/3/15). Plead not guilty.
Watson plead guilty (10/27/17) to 1 count of robbery & 2 counts of burglary in connection with the case. Per the agreement, all other charges, including 2 counts of murder, will be dismissed." Per the Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curryn will help in the prosecution of Larry Taylor & Diano Gordon. 9/27/19 Plea agreement hearing. Watson sentenced (3/12/21) to 29 years for robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, 10 years for burglary of a dwelling & 10 years for 2nd count of burglary of a dwelling. Concurrent with Count 5 & 6. 29 years for burglary with a deadly weapon (Blackburn) concurrent with prior sentence. Possession of narcotics was dismissed per plea agreement. Earliest Possible Release Date: 8/17/2037 (confinement began: 3/12/2021).

For the attorneys following this case: If a mistrial is granted on the basis of juror non-disclosure, why would they not replace with one of the extras? 15 jurors were seated. Isn't that the purpose of selecting beyond 12?

Taylor is not facing charges for the death of the unborn baby, which is why the judge declared a mistrial when jurors found out about the pregnancy.

“This just being a mistrial indicates nobody did anything wrong, it was just a set of facts that came up and they determined that they could no longer go to the jury and get a fair outcome,” John Tompkins said.

One juror asked Judge Grant Hawkins why this case is taking so long. Judge Hawkins cited COVID, whittling down 100 witnesses to 33 and a series of attorneys over the years.
