Your good works are appreciated! Thanks to both of you for continuing to diligently track Amanda's murder. There are more than a few of us who have continued to follow this case on Hyatt's blog since TOS are too stringent for the rape/murder of AB. :)

Tuesday, May 31st:
*Hearing (Trial Depositions) (@ 3pm) (Blackburn) - IN - Amanda Blackburn (28) (was 12 weeks pregnant shot to death, Nov. 10, 2015, Indianapolis) - *Larry Jo Taylor, Jr. (18/now 25) arrested & charged (11/23/15) & arraigned (11/25/15) with murder willful intent, murder in the course of a burglary, murder in the course of a robbery, murder enhancement, carrying a handgun without a license, criminal confinement, 2 counts burglary (11/10/15), 2 counts of theft (11/10/15), 3 counts of rape (11/3/15), robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (11/3/15), public indecency & public nudity. Plead not guilty. Held without bond.
Watson & Gordon confessed that Taylor was the shooter. In the Nov. 3, 2015 case, tests found that Taylor's DNA matched samples found on the victim & her clothing.
Trial was set to begin on 12/6/21 for murder only, but was declared a mistrial by Judge Grant Hawkins when a juror found out that Amanda was pregnant.
Trial rescheduled on 4/22/22 for jury selection & trial to begin on 4/25/22 continued to 6/3/22 with jury selection & trial begins on 6/6/22. (for murder only) (6/7, 6/8, 6/9 & 6/10)
Trial set to begin on 7/18/22 (for rape & robbery on 11/3/15)

I think so but it seems to be too quick for jury. That court is not streaming at this time.

The potential jurors came in last month to fill out the questionnaires so maybe that really shortened up this morning's process?

Ah - you are correct. Maybe they did a quick pick today. Any news articles on this case locally? If you find something - I'd like to know the divide - men vs. women on the jury.

I'll be checking this weekend for news. Here's the update on his other cases; the date entries are a mess. The bottom line is we only have 2 dates on these to keep up with = 07/15 and 07/18. There's no trial date yet for the Hernandez murder.

@Niner I'm going to be checking the live stream off and on this morning but so far, it looks like the trial is not going to be live.

I wonder if this group of jurors knows Amanda was pregnant. It seems to me that the prosecutor set this whole thing up for failure last time by not telling them. CBS4Indy put out a short vid last night about the new trial and "pregnant mother" was in the first sentence. There was nothing new in the video.
