I wonder why she didn’t go to Amiah’s father in the very beginning and have him beat the truth out of RL. I’m having trouble with no one doing anything, even if they decided not to get LE involved immediately.

Jumping off this, I’m wondering why there was no contact between the 9th and the whatever date. Was this normal?

Can we plug in any other dates for the week of the ninth. That seems to also be a mystery here.

Eta:

I think about all the places she could be from a recovery aspect. After the Watts case you never really know right? :(

Anyway my point is I think about how little she would be...makes things different in ways when considering a full size adult body...needle in a haystack.

Right now, imo, she could be anywhere.

These include off the top of my head:
1 concrete (perp’s occupation)
2 water (searches and evidence recovered if not a red herring)
3 fire (possibly unrelated but the proximity and timeline requires a deeper look, moo
4 Trash / incinerator
5 ?

Amiah could be anywhere right now.

The question is if she is close or far.

Hard to tell bc I can pull references from both sides as far as fathers and the distances of the disposals.

Again, sorry to sound like a broken record jere:

Malik: 40 to 60 miles
Noelani: 250 miles (iirc)
Cont

Vs

Less than half a mile:

Baby king
Sherin Matthews
C)

Looking at male suspects and distances.

It’s 50/50 here.

Maybe she’s close to his drug dealer.

I recall LE and Tes in TM’s case:

LE made a mistake saying that Terrilynne took a certain turn in a certain direction per traffic light footage. Which turned out to not be true. But TES did their search of the waters on an area based on that—

Tim Miller said iirc “off an inch, toy might as well be off a mile”

Eta/ source/ must read:
Red-light camera footage, key decisions complicated search for Terrilynn Monette

If we asked amber today when the last time she her baby was, what would she say?

I’m at happy hour on official self imposed break from this thread lol.

But I have to know...how far are the railroad tracks from Holmes? What about Hamilton? What about M/R? Tia. Is there a spot where the tracks meet the water?

( @Johnny1181 )

Who else is local again?

Anyway. I know he could’ve driven to Tombuctoo and back. I’m just thinking about stuff close to home after Baby King, Sherin, (there’s was another paternal case where disposal was close). On the other hand he could be like DH, Noelani’s “father”...he drove 250 miles to another state, but he was involved with trafficking. Then there’s Malik’s dad, he drove 40 to 50..hmmm...maybe she’s not close idk :(

There was some discussion about the tracks previously (starts with the old historical document...); since then I recall a new name I think for the railroad.

Anyway just want to know more about the railroad tracks distance and route wise. Thanks.

(Turning phone off to enjoy a stiff margarita (or three) - that timeline hurts my head - cheers and here’s to finding baby Amiah. )
Hoping you're enjoying happy hour! Everyone deserves it!

I can't help you with this. It all hurts my head. Honestly, the Watts case really broke me as far as humanity in many ways, and I just can't get that invested again.

What I will say, Amiah is no longer on the news at all. That disgusts me. Not one news broadcast.

But it doesn't surprise me. IMO we have no effective police force here. Crimes are nonstop daily. Look up the violent crimes in the past few days.

And local news does not help. New body on the news found today 7 minutes into the news. And then another drive by shooting following. And now the missing mother in Avon. Then 2 arsons.

All within the 1st 11 mins of the 11pm news.

Where are the police? Why so inept?

I really need to keep a distance for sanity. What is happening here is insane to me.

And another day with Amiah dumped somewhere. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. It's just all ridiculous and awful. Keystone Cops. And Amiah is being erased here in Indianapolis.

And now we're watching news of a turkey on the road. No Amiah.

(That’s alright. We’ve got professionals behind the scenes who do care.)

I’m not surprised at the lack of coverage.

If family members were still doing interviews, or if a new search was going on, I think there would be something.

No one wants to see a reporter stand there and say “nothing new to report, but here I am.”

Agreed.... but someone should be digging as deep locally as people on a website here are.

Someone should be screaming in front of a camera asking where in the hell is baby Amiah?!

That’s the family’s job.

They’ve failed this baby since day one.

So very true. This little baby was not born into a family. And maybe I'm a lightweight.... but this stuff hits hard for me. Observing for awhile.

Just wanted to add... although Shanann was my first case I stumbled upon here. And I didn't like it and it haunted me. Literally. I hated how she was treated.

And this case the same in a different way.

I've learned a lot and have been able to apply it to my studies. I've made new friends. And have been changed. And hopefully will make a difference someway. And I miss @gitana1 whose wisdom I bring to every damn A I get.

I hope we put Amiah to rest. It's just such a mess of ineptitude.

Whoever you are... just got the highest praise from my demanding jerk professor who is chair of our liberal arts dept and tries to get everyone to drop the class lol... on my paper... "excellent work. Beautiful prose" I actually had some tears when I read it.

Have a 99.2% in a high level course. Because you helped show me how to think outside the box, see the reality of a situation and the facts, and express factually and eloquently infused with appropriate emotion.

Off topic, but not really. It's about the impact Websleuths makes.

@gitana1

Whoever you are... you've made a difference here. You mentored without perhaps knowing it. Thank you. #shinelikeshannan

ETA I love what that demanding jerk who teaches me lol.
For me.... mentorship through thoughtful reading, learning, timeouts, reading all sides, and making friends and connections that I didn't think I would has made me better. Thank you.

I’m watching the PC on the big screen.

My impression is that they know more about RL and his whereabouts on my March 9 but can not comment.

Specific question for LE:

It seems “persons” have not been cooperative (paraphrasing)-if Amber has been cooperative and RL is a suspect, then who else has been not been cooperative, if not referring to Amber.

My specific question is has the babysitter been cooperative? Has she been cleared by LE?

Thank you for all of your hard work. You rock! I don't think and I'm so sorry to say this...

There's just not a local interest for some reason.

margarita25 asked about the railroad tracks. The tracks run along the McCarty/Sadie search area. They cross Eagle Creek about a block or so away.

There is a nice looking sandy area under the trestle that probably is a hangout/fishing area. I hope my screen cap works. Search Area.jpg

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think some of the people close to this case or in the circle of individuals known to the players would find $1000 very attractive. Unless LE are total failures, no one is going to find out who critical witnesses are until trial and I'm not convinced this kid is anything to be afraid of. Killing babies or selling them into trafficking is as weak as it gets.

If she is presumed dead or they have evidence she is deceased, they my be using other investigative methods to solve it (surveillance, CIs, undisclosed searches, detective work)

I think nothing of this kid, he is a punk who when the person is weaker, a baby or a woman, who uses his fist or if he has a weapon perhaps thinks he is some big man. With regard to the reward though? Certain types of people do not "rat". I hate generalizing but I am going by what we have seen already and heard.

Would some find $1,000 attractive? Sure they would but not when it is not guaranteed or instant money. It is only possibly as a result of a felony conviction on their tip and certainly would not grease their hands immediately. I tend to think if it was instant like an ATM, yah, maybe they would have a chance (both with false tips and real) but even then, the person has to testify and be scrutinized themselves, etc. and wait probably two years or more for that $1,000.00. Most charges if go to trial seem to take at least that long, much less a conviction and it also has to be a felony conviction. Finally, the way it is worded, it seems like it has to be that tip that leads to the felony conviction so the tip would have to be pretty substantial for a mere $1,000.00. The ones likely to have that kind of info are likely to be involved... Just thoughts...

jmo though.

I agree. The people who might have information are probably living week to week if not day to day. If the thought of a baby’s life has not inspired them to go to the police, a $1000 maybe at some point in the distance future probably won’t. Just MOO.
