Somehow I messed my reply to Beneath the pale blue sky. It was a reply about the babysitter.

Steve Jefferson did mention the babysitter on Twitter March 20th

Not purposely of course. I've been referring to the two databases for many years, and inmates/records have always shown up within 24 business hours of all arrests I've researched from our local news.

<modsnipped>
Yes, we would all like to know, but unfortunately discussing these rumors are not allowed on the site. We can only post facts and speculation based on the evidence we have learned about through LE and MSM.
I do think Amber knows what happened to her baby. At first she told LE she went missing on Thursday, and that the family was not concerned that she could be in danger.
Then the neighbor described seeing her at 9:00 on Friday night holding the baby away from her body and "speed-walking." This is the only eye witness account and all we have to go by regarding when the baby was last seen. I think it's very significant. It's possible that Thursday was the last time the mother actually saw her baby alive. Where was she rushing to?
Do we know what day and what time the trash pickup is in that area? It seemed like there was initial concern about the truck at the dumpster, although in the end they said it was unrelated. It's still possible that evidence may have been thrown out that night.
LE seems focused on the area of 1907. What kind of creek is it? Is it a fast- flowing river? Is it deep?
I wonder what items were found on the shore and how they got there. Imo

And you said you've been lurking for several years, so you should know the rules. A huge percentage of what you posted is not allowed on Websleuths because it's not considered fact, only rumor/whisper-down-the-lane information.

Thank you for the info. No, I don't know the rules.

If what I shared is not allowed, can you please tell me how to edit my first ever post? I was able to edit a typo earlier, but now I do not see an "edit" option.

An Amber Alert was not issued because it did not meet the strict criteria required. There was no vehicle description, etc.
The concern for medical treatment would have been mentioned in either case.
I don't think it means that she was sick with a contageous disease, which is probably why Amber seemed confused by that question. Imo
I wonder if has to do with the way the neighbor saw her carrying Amiah, and spreed walking.
That's just so unsettling.

The ability to edit expires, so you won't be able to do it. You'd have to "report it" and asked a mod to edit it.

I'm still not sure I trust that eye witness account. And without it, we have no clue how long Amiah has actually been missing :(.

It's too late. You only have an hour to edit. It will probably be deleted, but in the mean time, you can read through the rules. Just remember, if it's not in MSM, it can't be discussed. Otherwise we risk going off in the wrong direction since there is no way to know what is fact or just people talking!

"She said she recalled that her ex-boyfriend saying he hung out at a house near the White River and went to that house on Wednesday to see if her daughter had been there, WTHR reports.

When she found some of her daughter’s belongings at the house near the river, she called police, she told the outlet.

“All I can do is sit and think of things that my daughter loves,” Robertson told WTHR."

Well, it's Friday, and nothing but crickets from MSM & LE.

Well, it's the only thing we have to go by, for now. I see no reason why the neighbor would not be credible. They all probably have kids themselves and are very concerned as this happened right next door. I saw no indication that she was lying. She seemed to be sure Amber was holding a baby, she described what she was wearing.
It was Amber's inconsistent statements that I didn't find credible. Why else would she change the date to Saturday if she didn't realize she had been seen by the neighbor the night before? Imo

Doesn’t Crime Stoppers or the FBI usually offer a $10K reward pretty quickly in missing/endangered children’s cases? I wonder why there’s not been any reward offered so far?

My thoughts are if there was even a small reward offered in this case, people would be coming out of the woodwork with what they know.

Oh, I didn't mean at all that I thought she was lying. Just that maybe she didn't see what she thought she saw. And maybe she did! I just am not putting much stock in it.

Yeah, maybe if the baby had been wrapped in a blanket it would have been hard to tell. But I would think wearing a short sleeved shirt she would have easily seen her arms and of course, the baby's head since she wasn't wearing a hat. She thought it was unusual since it was cold that day. Imo

Also, the Silver Alert was cancelled because LE "wasn't getting many responses". Huh? The number of responses dictates how long the alert stays in effect?

I wonder if more is known and the alert doesn't need to be out there any more :(

When you think about it, it makes it even more unusual that she held the baby out away from her on a cold day. Even when bundled in coat, hat and blanket we tend to hold our babies close against us on a cold day.

I thought this baby would be found by now.

While impossible to know who (whether one or multiple) in this cast of characters is responsible, no 8 month old wanders off on its own and gets lost. Therefore we know someone is responsible.

A stranger abduction is also doubtful or I find it hard to believe the alert would be canceled, tips or no tips. That leads me to believe they know someone in this bunch is responsible logically.

The mother lawyering up has probably halted interviews with her one would think, unless some type of negotiation is going on.

The stories, per LE, have not lined up and have been conflicting. Unless the cast of characters all lost track of where this baby was and with who (very unlikely), someone knows something and someone saw something logically, AND someone DID something.

Therefore at least one somebody is lying (at minimum). Logically.

One would think obstruction of justice charges or an equivalent could be filed but I guess that would likely get them nowhere by doing so either...

Whatever happened, the failure to be upfront and honest so this baby can be found causes much outrage in me.

I pray she is found.

All just my opinion/speculation.

I agree with you regarding the alert. I wonder if one or more involved parties has told LE where the baby is but LE just haven't been able to physically locate her yet. Thus, no need for the alert but no baby found yet. (MOO)

You really feel that police found Amiah's body and concluded that search by asking for the public's help in locating missing baby Amiah? Does that sound logical?

The rest...haven't seen on MSM. Not going to take words from the rumor Mill and run with them.

I think pale blue sky is just pointing out the conflicting information, not taking it as being true

I'm wondering if they found evidence which led them to believe the baby is no longer alive. They reportedly took a lot of items from the back of that home.
I think it's still unclear whether it was taken from the garage or another structure. I know it was reported as the detached garage, but I'm thinking they took things from whatever dwelling either Amber or the boyfriend was living in. Imo
