IN - Blackford County father, stepmother charged after 7-year-old suffers ‘severe’ brain injury

Jennifer Revis told police the abuse was rage-induced, sparked by perceived disrespect, court documents say; however, she could only provide “vague” descriptions of what she felt was disrespectful. She said the victim made her “rage and I can’t tell right from wrong anymore.”

“I see rage, bro,” Jennifer Revis told police, “when she talks to me like that, I just see rage, and I don’t know.”

“I just lost it.”

The young girl’s injuries included a fractured ankle and extensive buttocks bruising, as well as full-body bruising, swelling, and patterns consistent with repeated blunt force trauma.

A Blackford County father and stepmother are facing felony charges after a heavily bruised 7-year-old girl had a seizure and suffered a “severe” brain injury.
