It appeared that a plastic storage bin had been placed over the remains which was located at the rear of the vacant lot.

The body parts have been transferred to the University of Indianapolis’ Anthropology Department, which will assist in identification and possible cause of death.

The remains were found by property managers and appear to be 2-3 months old.

the remains are those of Taz Hughes, 22. Hughes’ death remains under investigation.

On October 23, 2014 police were called to the 1600 block of North Willis Drive. A mobile home had been moved from a lot, and crews were in the process of cleaning the lot when they discovered the remains.

Hughes went missing at the Monroe County Fairgrounds on July 30, 2014
