Urgent search underway for missing Ligonier teen, mother seeks help

LIGONEER, Ind. (WPTA) - Authorities are actively searching for 18-year-old Brannon O’Dell, who was reported missing on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. His mother Karolyn Cumming and his father Billy O’Dell need your help in finding their son.

A Pizza Hut delivery driver last saw him at 8:58 PM. Just after his last sighting, Brannon FaceTimed his fiancée in Texas, stating he was going outside to look for bugs and lizards. His phone last powered on at 3:40 a.m. behind nearby houses, raising concerns for his safety.

This is the latest news around 5 pm yesterday. It looks like they are just restating what happened. I hope I posted this correctly.

Any searches being organized ?

It didn't sound like Brannon was going very far from his house or apartment, so it's not as if he became lost ?
Have his family/friends been out looking for him ?
Calling out loudly ... he might hear them & respond.
Omo.

So his phone powered.on at 3:40 a.m.
Then where did it go; can Google tell LE? I wonder how long it stayed on, where it was last on, and whether everyone in that area who has been asked for anything has cooperated with LE.

Based on the photo in the article posted in thread #21, and based on the info in thread #16, more specifically on this detail in the back of Brannon (two statues, belonging actually to nr 504…):

Does he live with his mother? Or alone?

If he left barefoot, they could've utilized scent dogs.
There should have been a trail to follow ?
So his mother saw him last ?

Thanks for the link, @swanniee11 .

Wondering if he spoke to his mother at all and if it was usual for him to take a late night stroll ?
Some people enjoy the quiet and the night air.
If he truly left barefoot it seems like the dogs could have tracked him.
Almost like he vanished into thin air.
But more like someone picked him up.

His FB Log into Facebook last post 10/2022
Quite a few of his FB posts refer to drinking alcohol. Is it possible he was inebriated when he went outside to look for bugs and lizards? In other words, outside at night, alone, in an altered state, making poor decisions? Not meant to be a judgement of him, I was young once, too. It just changes the picture a bit for me.

Yes, I'm seeing that as well. Looked around but no updates, maybe the page was just to much IMO. Still praying for Brannon.

There is still nothing and most of the local FB groups to stop asking about him in the groups and just follow on Ligonier's police FB page.

Hmm.
Not sure if that's good or bad ?
Almost sounds like LE know something more than we do.
