Agreed. Let's hope Ciera is found alive and well.

Now that Ciera's husband has been named as a POI by LE and his name is all over the internet, I can share that he has at least one previous arrest for aggravated stalking from last year:

Xavier Breland

Based on available information here and elsewhere, plus at least one recent arrest of her husband for stalking, there's a very high probability of domestic violence in this case.

We know he is currently in jail in Indiana, awaiting extradition to GA, but we don't know for sure if Ciera was actually last seen in GA or IN. The MP report indicates IN, but family members say they never saw her leave GA.

Also, I believe that Ciera has a very young child, less than a year old. Do we know if that child is safe and with family members?

I cannot access his case docket online yet to see if Ciera might have been the subject of the protection order. I did confirm he is still in Hamilton County Indiana jail.

Thanks for the info @legalmomma Clearly all of these charges point to a domestic violence situation. Very concerning...

So we now know Ciera was in Georgia visiting her father on 20 February, and then went to Indiana. Apparently her husband Xavier was already in Indiana at the time. IMO it's possible he was living there since he was wanted in GA for the charges legalmomma mentioned in her previous post.

After Ciera arrived in Carmel, the next thing we know is that Ciera was reportedly last seen on 25 February, supposedly heading to a local store of some kind. It's not clear if she was walking or driving, but in either case it's odd she would be wearing purple shorts in cold winter weather. Apparently she did not arrive at this local store as there is no video of her arriving there. Also, Ciera left her cell phone and credit cards at home. Again, very odd behavior.

In an interview with I-Team 8, Ciera Breland’s family said they had concerns about Ciera and Xavier’s relationship from the start.

Thanks again legalmomma. The more we hear about their relationship the worse the case gets. It's very unfortunate Ciera would be involved with someone like Xavier IMO. The use of the word 'brainwashing' is also very concerning, but certainly not unusual in domestic violence cases.

It really makes you wonder how Ciera, an attorney, would get involved with someone like this in the first place, especially with his criminal background.

No offense @Dargon335, but just want to be sure we keep facts straight for any future timeline. We know she visited with her father down in GA on the 20th. After that, I believe she went to the Duluth/Johns Creek area - either with, or to meet, her husband XB at his mother’s house in Duluth (although it could have been just to visit her mother-in-law).

We do not know for a fact that she “then went to Indiana”. I don’t think we’ve been told that she returned to Indiana by anybody but XB, and he is a POI. We HAVE been told that that was the plan..

My guess is that most LE involved in the case feel she may have never left the state of GA (not willingly anyway). So in similar fashion, a statement such as: “After Ciera arrived in Carmel” is a bit presumptuous and I think could possibly be misleading. I think we need either LE or MSM (not XB) to tell us that she actually arrived back in Indiana before we should believe she “went” missing from up there.

I also think that given the history of DV in their relationship and in XB’s past, - and since (I think) XB is the only person claiming to have seen CLB in Indiana, I don’t think Carmel PD are buying it for a minute - hence the earlier search in the Johns Creek area.

Also, I have never heard that XB was ever up in Indiana while CLB was down in Duluth/ Johns Creek. Do you have a link for that one? Just trying to keep things straight. Thanks very much in advance

It's possible I misread this statement, but my interpretation was:

- Ciera visted her father on 20 February
- Ciera then returned to Indiana
- To be with Xavier (implying Xavier was already in Indiana)

So that's why I mentioned in my posting that Ciera likely returned to Indiana. Either I misunderstood that statement above or it's bad wording by that media source. As I mentioned, that source contains several misspelled words, which I left in the post.

It also made sense to me that Xavier Breland could be in Indiana since he is wanted in Georgia on felony charges.

FBI joins search for Ciera Breland, the Indiana mother and lawyer last seen two weeks ago

Ciera Breland is a mother of a months-old child and an attorney who just moved from the metro Atlanta area to an Indianapolis suburb to join a new firm.

She had moved to Georgia to practice law after Florida State University College of Law and the University of Tennessee.

Family said she and her husband Xavier Breland Jr moved from their Fairburn, Georgia home to Carmel, Indiana less than a year ago. That is when family members said she began to grow distant.

"My sister, they were like strapped together, they never stopped talking to each other, they were, she called her like two or three times a day most of the time, and when my sister texted her, she would always call back without fail," said cousin Luke Locklair.

Her current law firm issued a statement on Thursday which reads:

"Speaking for the entire Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani family, I can express that we have been deeply concerned about Ciera’s wellbeing over the past week and have been doing our utmost to assist both the local and federal authorities as well as Ciera’s family in determining her whereabouts and helping in any other ways we can. We all pray for Ciera’s safe return and remain at the highest level of vigilance pending resolution of this extremely troubling situation. Anyone with any possible information about Ciera’s whereabouts is urged to contact the authorities immediately."

The Carmel Police Department, located just outside Indianapolis, said Ciera Breland was reported missing by her husband over the weekend. He told police around 10 p.m. on Feb. 25 he last saw her leave their house in the Brookstone Park of Carmel subdivision possibly headed to the area CVS store wearing a black top and purple shorts.

A search in Georgia PeachCourt resulted in a matter in which Xavier Breland was/is involved in legitimization, custody case of two children and Ciera was/is attorney of record.

There also was a PETITION FOR FAMILY VIOLENCE TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE ORDER filed against Xavier by the same party in December 2021. In addition, this party filed a motion to disqualify Ciera (Locklair) as counsel for Xavier. A review of this database shows there is/was quite a few filings against and by Ciera and Xavier and this other party and her husband. A STALKING EX PARTE TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE ORDER was filed in December 2020 by Ciera against the another party.

I think there is quite the story here.

After CLB visited her father, I wonder if she and XB then spent any nights together at XB’s mother’s house in Duluth? If they did, an obvious question to XB’s mother would be: “when did he leave to go back to Indiana, and was Ciera physically with him when he left?”
