IN IN - Ciera Breland Locklair 31, last seen in GA, POI husband Xavier Breland Jr, Carmel, 25 Feb 2022

This interview was very interesting. Ciera's parents are clearly very worried about her disappearance. I hope this is resolved quickly.

I see XB's mother is still telling reporters to "go away" when they ask her to comment on these events.
It appears that Ciera's parents have little hope that she's still alive. That's so sad. Even in stranger abductions there's often some hope.

Xavier's mother was probably protective of him in the past, so that won't change overnight.

Agreed.

According to the article, his video visitation right with his two minor children that he has with his previous wife has been suspended. He traumatized his young daughter by talking about Ciera being abducted. Of course his attorney claimed in court that XB was speculating about Ciera not coming back.

“Mr. Breland, this is in place permanently. You can’t talk to either of your children. These two children,” Alexander ordered.

I'm confused about the children. Does he have children and step-children with his ex?

According to an earlier article he was on the Zoom call with his step-children, but the one above mentions his two minor children. He does have an older step-child I think, though I'm not sure if they were present on the call.

This situation is not getting any better! The interview with Ciera's parents is heartbreaking. I hope they can gain custody of their grandson. And I really hope they find Ciera! Moo

Interview with Ciera's parents:

According to her mother, Ciera was going to surprise Xavier, telling him that she was leaving.

Ciera and Xavier were having money issues lately.

Police were called to their home in Indiana for DV. The officer told her mother that something bad was going to happen to Ciera soon.

The baby is currently with Xavier's father in Indiana.
bolded italics mine.
That sounds ominous.

Checked in on this case and am not feeling any more optimistic than at the beginning, I still don't think she left voluntarily, but that something happened to her.
Leaving a partner or spouse can be a very dangerous time, and if Ciera had broken the news to him (which we don't know yet) he may have reacted badly.
Ciera's parents have to be going through unimaginable fear.

Agreed. Knowing what we do about XB's personality and history based on court records and proceedings with his former wife, it's possible that Ciera telling him she wanted to leave could have triggered a violent reaction with XB. MOO.

Family of Indiana missing mother shares new details as search continues

Campbell (Ciera's cousin) said problems started early on in the whirlwind romance between Ciera and Xaiver, who met on a dating app in 2020.

“The relationship from the very beginning was extremely rocky,” she said. “There was a lot of fighting, there was a lot of issues in terms of the fighting.”

“She was scared, she was very concerned for her safety,” said Campbell. “I have messages where she was saying if anything happens to me it’s him.”

Campbell said her cousin described erratic behavior displayed by Xavier Breland including calling the law firms where Ciera worked trying to get her fired and instances of him getting physical with her.

The article above also states:

Campbell shared with CBS46 text messages she exchanged with her cousin that she said she’s turned over to the police. They include past texts from Breland saying “Xavier is nuts. If anything happens to me then he is responsible. If I call and say it’s an emergency or I text it then call 911 in Carmel.”

“I’m really scared and idk what to do,” said another text message from August.“

Why are there no updates since Saturday? It's Monday .... did I miss something?

I'm not sure there have been any recent updates. Everything I'm seeing in MSM is at least several days old.

CARMEL, Ind. — New text messages reveal that a missing Carmel woman was scared of her husband, who police have said is a person of interest in her disappearance.

On February 24, Ciera Breland (Locklair) went to St. Johns Creek in Georgia to visit family members with her husband Xavier, five-month-old son and Labradoodle. While her husband told the Carmel Police Department she walked out of the house and went missing two days later, there is no evidence she ever came back from the family trip.

This is local for me - Carmel is only about 25 miles away. When this was first reported, I was so hopeful that Ciera would be found safe and quickly returned to her family. At this point, I'm afraid it doesn't seem likely, especially with the information coming from her cousin. I'm still hopeful, even if it's just a little, that this beautiful momma will be reunited with her family. Where are you, Ciera?

Search group set for Ciera | The Northeast Georgian, Cornelia, Georgia
Her cousin Luke Locklair is organizing a search group for Ciera in Johns Creek on Saturday, April 2, beginning at 10 a.m. That was the last place she was confirmed to be, and the FBI said there was no evidence she ever returned to Indiana.

“I am setting up the places today we’ll be searching,” Luke Locklair said. “We’re searching everywhere around his mom’s that I think would be good places to look at. We haven’t heard anything about where to search from law enforcement so we’re just going to different places and bringing a lot of people to help.”

“The spouse is always the first person the police look at in a disappearance, but in this case Mr. Breland had nothing to do with Cierra’s disappearance. Mr. Breland is devastated by her disappearance which he reported to the police, and if he wasn’t incarcerated on an unrelated matter he would be helping to look for Cierra.” ATTORNEY BRYAN HOWARD

MOO, but I find this statement from XB's attorney very difficult to believe.

I live just down the street from the CVS was she was reported to be seen, although don’t believe it. I think about her every time I drive by the CVS.

Speaking of Carmel and CVS, did LE ever determine whether the t-shirt and shorts found behind that CVS actually belonged to Ciera? Since those clothing items were found a month or so ago I've not heard anything about them.

I've joined this thread late, so please forgive if this has been discussed.
Clothing found that was possibly CB's at CVS in IN?
IMOO that would indicate she possibly had assistance in getting out of a dangerous situation or someone placed the clothing there in an attempt to make it look like she had been there.
I can't locate any MSM reports on this, but this is quite interesting.

IMO the clothing was unrelated. There is no indication that she ever made it back to Carmel. I also don't see why only clothing would be found if she did leave home.
