IN IN - Ciera Breland Locklair 31, last seen in GA, POI husband Xavier Breland Jr, Carmel, 25 Feb 2022

New interview with Ciera's parents: Parents of missing mother fear they’ll never see their daughter again

“I called her phone when police called and [Xavier Breland, Jr.] answered it,” Nick Locklair said. “I said, ‘Xavier, tell me the truth. What’s going on? Ciera told me if anything happened to her that you were responsible for it, so just tell me the truth.’ And he told me to go to Hell and hung up.”
...
“[She was] nine months pregnant when she tells me that on a regular basis, ‘He threatens to kill me and put me in a lake,’” Kelly Locklair said.

So her parents saw her two head injuries caused by him, yet they let her go back to him? When challenged he told her parents that it was between him and his wife.

IMO the clothing was unrelated. There is no indication that she ever made it back to Carmel. I also don't see why only clothing would be found if she did leave home.

If he harmed her in Georgia, then brought her clothing back and threw it away behind the CVS to bolster his story, that would fit.

I tend to agree. Carmel LE did collect the clothing (t-shirt and shorts) as potential evidence, but AFAIK there was no indication whether these clothes actually belong to Ciera. Even if they do belong to her, there's no evidence so far that she was wearing them.

At this time it appears unlikely that Ciera actually returned to Carmel, so from we know now these clothes may not factor directly into her disappearance.

But the color didn't even fit his story and in what scenario would an abductor dump her clothes where they could be easily found?

Wait, what abductor? I thought I said maybe X threw the clothes out to make it look like she disappeared near the CVS.

I've joined this thread late, so please forgive if this has been discussed.
Clothing found that was possibly CB's at CVS in IN?
IMOO that would indicate she possibly had assistance in getting out of a dangerous situation or someone placed the clothing there in an attempt to make it look like she had been there.
I can't locate any MSM reports on this, but this is quite interesting.
If I've read this correctly , it was about 20∘F , the evening Ciera went missing ?
As in, too chilly for that attire.
Unless she had a jacket on as well, which I don't think was one of the found items.
Maybe the T-shirt and shorts may have been placed intentionally ?
If the clothing even belongs to Ciera.
My .02.
How sad that are are no updates.

He told his children that Ciera was abducted.

I suppose he might have thought throwing out some of her clothing might make it look like an abduction...if the clothing is in fact hers. A big IF.

Not saying it is the case here but sometimes parents can beg their adult daughter to leave an abusive husband or boyfriend yet the daughter returns to the abuser.

I’ve seen it happen when I used to work in ER. Once parents brought their daughter in, she was 18 years old and badly beaten by the boyfriend she lived with. She had black eyes, bruises all over. A broken arm. Just awful. She had called her parents for help and they picked her up and took her to ER.

The parents convinced her to move out, they were going to take her home with them and she agreed. When we brought the dismissal paperwork into the room for her to sign the boyfriend walked in, snapped his fingers, and she left with him. Her parents begged her not to go but they couldn’t stop her, she was 18….

I forgot to mention that, according to the video posted earlier, upon her last visit Ciera told her parents that she was done with Xavier, but the next morning he texted and cried, so she agreed to go back to his mother's in Johns Creek and talk. Her parents never saw her again.

Parents of missing mother fear they’ll never see their daughter again

Temps in Johns Creek on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th ranged from the low 60’s in the morning to around 75 in late afternoon. All three days were mostly sunny

Quoting my own comment to add :
Husband named 'person of interest' in disappearance of 31-year-old Indiana mother last seen in Georgia
The report also states she said she was headed to the store wearing a black top and purple shorts. The FOX 5 Storm Team said temperatures in Carmel, Indiana were in the mid- to upper-20s that night. Family members said police told them she never arrived there and there was no surveillance video of her entering the store.

It could just be faulty reporting re. the temps.

I'm not convinced the t-shirt and shorts are Ciera's clothing for certain.
Has her family been allowed to look at the items ?

It doesn't look as though there'll be a positive outcome, but would love to be wrong and she's in hiding but safe ?
The lack of contacting her family makes me fear otherwise.

He told his children that Ciera was abducted.
It's understandable why this man is a person of interest to LE.
And how exactly would he even know if she'd been kidnapped ?
Smh.
She could have walked away from her life and is hiding.
Imo, this is highly doubtful !
Very few mothers walk away from their children.

If he had nothing to do with it - why isn’t he and his family helping search for her?

BBM. Everybody that knows her is unanimous that she would have never left her baby behind.

I was just hoping, against hope, speculating that she might have had to run for her life in Indiana & no time to change into warm clothes or get the baby. But IMO she did not go back to Indy.
I live near John's Creek & will be at the search tomorrow, if there is still a search organized by her cousin. Does anyone have a link to that info?

JMO
TIA

If you type Where is Ciera(Locklair) Breland in FB you can find the search group post.

It's interesting someone posted he said he would kill her and put her in a lake. Lake Lanier is super close by and people often drown there and are never found. An entire town is under that lake it is very difficult and dangerous to recover drowning victims. I hope that is not what happened but it's very possible.

Yes, I agree. Earlier in the thread I posted a quote from his (XB's) attorney who claims he would be searching for her if he was not in jail.

MOO, but everything we know so far about XB and his documented domestic violence, verbal abuse, stalking charges, etc., plus the texts by Ciera to her family referring to how XB had been treating her, all of that makes me think XB would likely NOT be assisting Ciera's family or LE.

XB's family is doing nothing to assist the search for Ciera. It's possible they have advised by attorneys to not make any public appearances or statements, but so far XBs family has been silent from what we know so far.

I went to the search/missing event for Ciera this morning in John's Creek GA. There was a turn out of about 25 people and some press. Her parents were there. I put up fliers in the JC/Alpharetta area.

Noticeably absent was Xavier's family and friends.
