Hoping this is not related to this case. A body has been found in a pond about 15 miles NNE of Fairburn, GA near a concrete plant & recreation center. An area called Ben Hill, GA. This was reported about 3 hrs ago.

Local news did short reports on 10 pm & 11 pm news last night WSBTV, CBS46, FOX5news & 11alivenews. Showing WSB report that has an overhead view of the area. It must be difficult to get to this pond/lake because I see horses (IMO). Also notice that LE is not saying male or female. That concerns me.
There is also a press release on atlpd.org (City of Atlanta Police Dept.) that is very brief.

These cases are so horrible. If only women could escape these situations

And Ciera worked for a law firm, I would think she would have had resources available to help. JMO

Completely agree. Tragically the number of MP cases that include a domestic violence component is very high IMO.

Just checked Atlantapd.org & they have edited their original news release to state the body found was male and foul play is unlikely.

I don't watch the news regularly, but have not seen anything. Fox5 had nothing this am. Will try to catch 11alive news at 6p.

Thanks for letting us know. Strange there has been no media attention in Ciera's case recently. Apparently no news means no MSM reports either.

Am I correct that Fairburn GA, where Ciera and XB lived previously, is 50 miles, or about one hour drive time, from Johns Creek?

Reports I've read indicated XB grew up in Fairburn, GA. He was married previously w/2 children to a woman who filed divorce & criminal charges against him in Coweta County, GA. Coweta is about 20 miles or less SW of Fairburn. Currently in the news in Coweta County is a triple murder of married couple who owned gun range & their grandson visiting on spring break. I don't know how to start this thread...need to learn.
Have not seen anything re where XB & CB lived b4 moving to Carmel, IN. Although they have been married approx 15 months & lived in Carmel approx 1 yr.

I just started reading about this case yesterday, though was aware of it through mention in another tread I have been following. I have read all of your insightful posts, and watched many news stories. Is it correct that there has been no verification from anyone at all, and only the claim from XB when he called police to report her missing, that Ciera ever made it back to Carmel after being in Ga? If so, I believe the clothing found by the CVS store was either not Ciera's at all, or was Ciera's but was planted there in an effort to throw LE off, when she in all likelihood, imo, was harmed or killed and left somewhere around Johns Creek. From everything we know about XB, he does not seem like the kind of guy who would allow a woman to walk away from him, especially one with his possession (child), and he probably knew that is exactly what was about to happen. Like almost all of you here, I fear there will be no good ending to this. Prayers for Ciera and her loved ones. JMO

@SteveP Correct, AFAIK there is no physical evidence at this time to indicate Ciera ever made it back to Carmel after leaving XB's mother's home in Johns Creek. The clothing found near the CVS store in Carmel has not been identified as belonging to Ciera. Even if those are her clothes, there is no evidence she was actually wearing them at the time. Keep in mind that the winter temperatures in Carmel at this time were around 20F, so it's unlikely anyone would leave home and walk to a store, at night, without a phone or wallet, wearing only a t-shirt and shorts. So far it appears XB is the only person who claims that Ciera was in Carmel when she disappeared.

From what we know based on MSM reports, the last actual known sighting of Ciera was at XB's mother's home in Johns Creek. She has not been heard from since.

When CB XB JB & the pup arrived to GA, did they go to John's Creek (XB mother) 1st or to her father's house in N GA?
I know she left her father's after spending the night & went to John's Creek to talk to XB.
Did she have the baby & dog w/her or had she left them in John's Creek w/him & gmother?
The most perplexing thing I find is the large gap in time between the last text she supposedly sent to her father saying she was not coming back that same night & then they didn't think anything amiss for 5-6 days when they got a call from IN LE that she was missing?
Can someone clue me in, please?

It is my understanding that she dropped XB off at his mother's house and went to visit her father. XB pleaded with her to return and she did. Last communication was with her cousin via text a couple of days before she was last seen on camera. She told her cousin that she was scared and that XB asked her to leave, but she was waiting to get her son.

Yes, based on what we know from MSM reports Ciera usually kept in close touch with family and friends via text messages.
