Recovered/Located IN - Cintya Borja, aka Cintya Corral, 23, van found abandoned, Hobart, Lake County, 11 Sep 2019

On September 12, 2019, A family member notified the Hobart Police Department with regard to their relative, Cintya Borja AKA Cintya Corral was missing and she hasn't been heard from since September 11, 2019 @ approximately 12:30PM. Ms. Borja was reported to have left her residence in Hobart on September 11, 2019 and she was going to run some errands.

On September 12, 2019, Hobart Detectives began to investigate Ms. Borja as a missing person, Detectives responded to information that she may have been last seen in the area of Edison High School, located in Lake Station. Detectives searched the area for her and then began searching the area for surveillance cameras. Detectives located surveillance images of Ms. Borja in the area of Edison High School walking in the area between 1:50PM and 2:00PM on September 11, 2019.

On the evening of September 12, 2019, Lake Station recovered Ms. Borja's van in the area of 20th And Putnam Street, Lake Station, Indiana.

At this time it is unknown if Ms. Borja is under any duress, the relative advised responding officers that it was unusual for Ms. Borja not to have any contact with them. Cintya Borja or Cintya Corral is described as the following:

23 Years of Age
5'4/ 180lbs
Brown hair and Brown eyes

Ms. Borja was last seen wearing white and black striped shirt with black shorts. The investigation is still ongoing and is a joint investigation with the Lake Station Police Department and the Hobart Police Department, anyone with any information of the whereabouts of Cintya please contact:

It looks like she had a son in May 2016, according to her FB page. I hope the young boy is in a safe place, but I'm sure he is missing his mother.

Her brother, RM, said she has two children – a 5-month-old and a 3-year-old.

Police said they have located her vehicle, but not her purse. Martinez said she was using her father’s car to run some errands on Wednesday, but didn’t return. He said police found children’s clothing, diapers, and food she had purchased from Walmart in the car.

Since she left her shopping in the car, was she in town for another appointment? Was she meeting someone? Was the car found near shops?

Sept 11 approx 12:30 p.m. - Last Contact

Sept 11 between 1:50 and 2:00 p.m. - Surveillance images of CB walking in the area of Edison High School in Lake Station.

Sept 12 (evening) - The van was recovered in the area of 20th and Putnam Street in Lake Station which is .4 miles or a 9-minute walk, per Google Maps. Items she purchased at Walmart wer in the vehicle but her purse was not.

She left her two children, abandoned her vehicle with groceries in it, and hooked up with some guy all over a misdemeanor warrant?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she has been found safe, but WUT? MOO
