Clyde Merriweather was last seen parked in front of the Love's Truck Stop in the 3100 block of Grant St. in Gary at approximately 5:30 a.m., police said.

In security video obtained by police, Merriweather is seen being put into the passenger side of his vehicle by a male wearing a dark blue hoodie with dark jeans.

How frightening for Mr. Merriweather! I am having a hard time imagining a scenario where nothing nefarious happened here. On the upside, that surveillance photo is quite good—I am certain I would be able to identify either one if I happened to know them. Hopefully it’s not too late for this gentleman!

Clyde Merriweather, 73, was last seen at Love’s Truck Stop, located at 3150 Grant St., at approximately 5:30 a.m.

Merriweather is 6’2″, approximately 185 lbs., with grey hair and brown eyes.

Police said one of the persons of interest is a white man, early to mid 20s, approximately 5’9″ to 5’11” with a dark blue hoodie and dark jeans.

The woman is her early twenties wearing a pink-zipped hooded sweatshirt, white-striped skirt, black socks and was carrying black boots. She has long dark hair with a slim build and is approximately 5’4″-5’6″ tall.

In security video, the man and woman were last seen putting Merriweather in the passenger seat of his own 2018 black Toyota Corolla with Indiana plate 179DVR.

This is horrific. Praying they only want the car and he is located safe. I do want to say the pictures out there of him from family are quite different then the ones we're seeing. I hope they update to give a better description of him. Obviously I can't share that here. IMO

Crap, I was thinking they wanted the car, but you very well could be right. I just hope if this is the case, they let him go and don't harm him. IMO

The individual is described by police as a white male with a clean-shaven face and dark straight hair in his early to mid-20s. He has a slender build and is approximately 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11.

In the pictures above of the female, she has her shoes off and her boots are sitting on the ground. Could they have been walking a good distance and her feet hurt so she took the boots off? I hope they look at CCTV in other areas to see where they may have come from. IMO

Editing to add: They have great pictures of these 2. I would blast this all over and in other states.

From this article it is stated by the family he is suffering from memory problems and was last seen 2 days before he was captured on video with these 2 people.

This is terrible! Gas stations, grocery store parking lots, and convenience stores are where predator criminals look for victims to car jack, kidnap and rob. Usually people are distracted loading groceries or pumping gas.
I am always on high alert in these places even in daytime.
Hope he is found ok.These 2 look really young and maybe not yet hardcore criminals.

If these two he was seen with in the video meant no harm to him, they would have taken him straight to the local police station.

He could have asked them where he was or directions and they noticed he wasn't well and took advantage of the situation. IMO
