Dawn Marie Smith, 55 yrs old of Granger, last heard from by phone near Watervliet, Mi heading towards Coloma, Mi on Monday evening. She is driving a silver 2004 Honda Odyssey with Michigan plate #CJB5417 which may have become disabled on a secondary road. She is believed to be in danger. If you see her or her vehicle please call 911 or your local police department.

UPDATE: Missing Granger woman found dead, police say

The body of Dawn Marie Smith was found dead, St. Joseph County Assistant Police Chief Bill Thompson told NewsCenter 16.

Smith's body was found outside a home in Milton Township in Cass County. Her vehicle was disabled, and she was likely trying to get to a home for help, according to Thompson.

Police believe she died from exposure.
