Lou Johnson, Delano's cousin, said Wednesday that she and the rest of the family were shocked by Willie Wilson's arrest. She said they did not have any inkling that Wilson might have been responsible for his son's disappearance.

"We're hurt. We couldn't believe it," Johnson said. "It doesn't make any sense. It really doesn't. If it's true, we want to do something to him. If you did something to the baby, justice should be served. "

Johnson said Delano's mother is distraught about the news.

So I went into the app and used
"521 Chase Street, Indianapolis" to
"S Holt and Interstate 70, Indianapolis"

Here are the Satellite Versions (all mapped at off-peak hours, without traffic):

I wasn't able to share the link for the above "trips."
Notice how convoluted some of the routes are. I switched to the regular view for comparison...

Then I had a :lightbulb: moment! What if they were on foot? So, I mapped a route "on foot"

This is the most direct route, taking Oliver Street to S. Holt and the I70 Overpass in just over 50 minutes! It's almost easier to get there on foot than by car! It's less than half the distance. If they had vehicle access, could they have driven part of the way & then went into the woods?

ETA: Does the timeline allow for an entire round trip on foot? I recall TS being seen outside "out of breath" - well, this walk might be the reason. :moo:

I dunno either :blushing: but using your earlier map (linked below) you can see where the creek crosses the railroad tracks; it's a little over a half mile to the right of the S. Holt marker if you follow those tracks - just east of S. Tibbs Ave. Now why on earth would WW and TP climb over the guardrail at S. Holt and I-70? Why wouldn't they just turn around and follow the tracks back to their house? And where did they go after climbing over?

Something's weird but I don't know what. :thinking:

Check out how far away the Holt Street & I70 intersection is. I roughly measured 2.2 miles.

I didn't add the wooded are where the dogs searched, I can go back and mark a square where I think it is based on the PC. Bottom of page 17, top of pg 18 it says Delano's scent was tracked to that area...so what were WW and TP doing way over at Holt and I70?

Haven't found much in the way of social media. A few old and private my space and a closed fb group which doesn't appear to be family run. I'm surprised there's no find Delano page or maybe I missed it. Not surprised parents didn't set one up because it seems they didn't need help finding him. Thought it might be useful if there were photos of Willie or TP in the woods or something like that.

Both of them had current facebook pages, we found them way back when. Not sure if I could find them now, bet they went completely private.

Not many pictures of Delano, except those poor quality ones we have seen on the news and on flyers. Thought that was odd since they had newer phones and this was TP's first baby. She had some creative maternity shots of she and Willie on her page, more of them than photo's of Delano after he was born.

It would take a methodical grid search to clear this entire area - as there's water, wooded areas, all intermingled with railroad tracks, freeways, residential and industrial areas.

A search of that extent couldn't go unnoticed. :moo:

Someone knows something. How they're keeping such secrets is beyond me.

They need to start talking. Baby Delano needs to come home to a proper goodbye. His community needs a chance to pay their respects, and grieve his loss. This torturous wait without answers must end.

Indianapolis Fire Department divers started there search at Little Eagle Creek around 10 Tuesday morning. However, they found nothing. According to IMPD, officers will continue to search areas they didn’t get to last week, saying no stone will go unturned.

There are 2 videos at the link, the second one shows WW in tears at a rally although we know it's just for show.

Funny, I remember the mentions of the searches both at Little Eagle Creek and White River but never connected it with the area of Holt and I-70. Partly because on google maps it's EAGLE Creek in that area, and Little Eagle Creek shows up further north.

Exactly. If in fact that was them, they were going the wrong direction from their house.

WW was seen out of breath at 8:30-8:40 near the alley IIRC

That's what I read too. So he's spotted near the alley at 8:30 in the morning, sweating and huffing then spotted again by the camera at 12:01; what was he doing and how do his movements fit with the witness seeing both parents at I-70 and S. Holt Rd. smack in the middle at around 10:30?

The dogs lost WW's and baby Delano's scents in the woods near the house, WW had burrs on his pants. Could WW have hidden Delano's body that morning and then gone back to move it? Why no further scents? The PC statement made no mention of giving the dogs TP's scent or searching any cars. Could he have used a car at some point?

If the search around the creek came from witness DK's tip did they extend it all the way to where he allegedly saw WW and TP climbing over the guardrail?

Also, given that the area is industrial there may be more cameras on buildings. LE viewed footage from a metal recycling plant camera (Pg. 5 PC). They also looked at footage from the Indy Go bus facility (Pg. 16 PC). Is LE sitting on additional info? Will we be seeing yet another PC doc?

There's also no mention of cell pings in the probable cause statement. Surely they tried to validate these sightings with pings? I think LE is sitting on a lot of info right now. I hope so because what we know at this point has my brain scrambled.

Thanks for correcting me that WW was the person who was out of breath in the alley. I do recall TP was seen outside by eyewitnesses at some point, but I haven't been able to locate it yet.
