News 8 spoke with Lieutenant Gary Tanner who says she was last seen wearing a pink dress in Battersea Lanes in Legacy Farms Addition.

She is believed to be in danger and in need of medical aid.

Police did not provide a name, identity, or photo of the missing child. The story will be updated.

Plainfield Fire is seeking the community’s help in finding a missing 4-year-old child.

I wish there was more information posted, such as where she went missing from and what she was doing when last seen. Praying she is located quickly!!!

Prayers she is found quickly as it is getting dark or already dark out there. I just wanted to point out that she is missing from Indiana and not New Jersey as the heading says.

Y’all think this is close to the neighborhood? There’s a map.
*The basements concern me. Kids like to wander.

It looks like her home is in a newer section of the Legacy Farms subdivision. The opening post says Battersea Lane, which is shown on this map: Battersea Ln · Plainfield, IN 46168

No large body of water but several small ponds close by. Did read on PPD that they are being checked. Some small wooded areas.

The latest update from Plainfield Police (they create a new thread for each update.) A 4 year old with autism -- it is so frightening.

Our hearts and prayers are with Fiedwenya Fiefe and her family as we continue to search for her. Plainfield PD and Plainfield Fire Territory have been utilizing all available officers while working with state and local agencies to assist in the search. We are using every resource that we have to include drones, rescue canines, watercraft, and off-road vehicles. While we have had to scale back our search due to the darkness we will continue searching throughout the night until morning when we can increase our saturation of the area. We will never stop searching for Fiedwenya until we find her.

Again, if anybody has any information that can help us find Fiedwenya, please call the Hendricks County Communications Center at (317) 839-8700.

Search resumed 7am Friday. Fox59 spoke to a woman who said was Fiedweyna's mother as she was searching a retention pond. She said there was some miscommunication as it was thought she was being cared for by the grandmother.
Divers were seen about to enter a pond at 8:30am.

Plainfield Public Safety will start conducting ground searches with adult citizens that wish to assist in the search for 4 year old Fiedwenya Fiefe.

Starting at 2:00 pm, public safety will be at the entrance to the Legacy Farms sub division located at US 40 and Eddy Way. This search will be primarily fields and rural outlying areas around these neighborhoods and searchers will be paired with public safety officials. Adult volunteers need to be aware of the terrain and dress for the weather (sunscreen etc) and be physically capable.

Adult Volunteers will park in the West field at the entrance to Legacy Farms (US 40 and Eddy Way) and check in with public safety. Volunteers must check in with public safety upon arrival and check out with public safety prior to leaving.

This is the ONLY official search party and we request that anyone wanting to search to come and sign in.

Hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

From the article:

Fiedwenya, who goes by "Neegee", is nonverbal and autistic, according to Aldridge. As a result, she has a hard time communicating and asking for help.

She is also attracted to water. There are about 14 ponds in the neighborhood and those surrounding it.

I was actually working in Plainfield yesterday morning.

Unfortunately there are several ponds in Legacy Farms and the nearby neighborhoods. Here in central Indiana it seems nearly every neighborhood has at least one pond.
