I'm not on Twitter. How far was the location of the funeral from the soccer complex? I'm wondering if Halee drove to Newburgh and she was intercepted at her car in the parking lot of the funeral home.

Did Halee live at home with her parents?

I do not think Halee lived with her parents. I also do not think they are married. Just my opinion. 😊

Thank you Whiskers! I was actually able to see enough on Twitter to find info and found the obit. So, the funeral was Friday and in Evansville--so no link to the murder there. Newburgh could very well be just the disposal site, which is normally (IIRC) half way between the crime scene and the killer's home.

I don't think this is going to be solved easily unless the killer's DNA is found on Halee and he/she is a re-offender. We don't even know the scene of the crime if Newburgh was just the disposal site.

ETA: I remember cases where the killer's home is half way between the scene of the crime and the disposal site.

I have not seen anything about her romantic life. Not that it could be shared here, but it would be nice to know if she was seeing someone. I'm sure there were at least people who were interested in her. She seemed to be very loveable.

I don't see any FB posts for Halee after Nov 2016. Did she have another FB account? She posted on Twitter Sunday but I didn't see a time. In one of her tweets, she said she was closing at work Fri and Sat night. She worked at Texas Roadhouse in Evansville.

Is there a way on Twitter to see location? Does anyone know if she lived alone or with roommates? Did she live in an apartment/house/townhouse/condo?

I've read through her Twitter and she seemed to have a very close group of girl friends. She lived alone in an apartment - in one tweet when she was sick she said the only time she didn't like living alone was when she was sick. She said she moved out on her own a year ago. So far she seems super wholesome and loved and really close with her family. Selfies with her sisters and her mom. It's heartbreaking to read through knowing what happened.

I don't remember seeing a post about her working the 23rd, but she may have worked a regular shift (didn't close, as she specified she was closing Fri and Sat nights). She worked a double the previous Sunday.

Also, thinking her body may have been found within the fenced parking lot nearest the road, where it would be seen more easily. It looks like a wire fence--easy to see through. Someone who works first shift (IOW, starts at 7:00 am) may have been driving by.

My instincts are that she knew her killer and this had something to do with keeping a secret. After reading FB and twitter, how could a young woman claim that she has been to hell and back with her friends and no one could ever imagine how close they really were to each other? If I were LE I'd read between the lines of her tweets....

i read her last text was at 11:30. So from then until 6:45 , which is 7 hour's and 15 min's. there has to be camera's somewhere.

IMO, she was referring to the accident involving her friend's baby and his subsequent death. She talked about how it was affecting her in her tweets--she said a few days before the funeral that she was having difficulty concentrating on her studies. She is extremely close to that friend and there are 2 or 3 other friends she mentioned who were very close to them and also agonizing about the baby's injury and death.

I think saying you've been through hell and back is possibly just a bit dramatic coming from 20 year olds. Anyone agree? Of course there could be some big secret, or it's just referring to heartbreak and youthful mistakes. When you're 20, those things can seem like hell and back.
