A shallow grave discovered on the city's east side Wednesday contained the skeletal remains of two people, police said.

A man searching for his dog in a wooded area in the 2800 block of North Gladstone Avenue found the grave just after midnight Wednesday.

When technicians began to dig up the area, they discovered another set of remains below the original skeleton

There is a videoed news report showing the location of the grave. At the time it was filmed they were clearly only aware of one set of remains.

Based on dental records, the men were identified as Juan Carlos Valencia, 39, and Raul Barajas Villalobos, 40, both from San Jose, Calif.
