Pity it didn’t affect his ability to trick a child into entering his home, beat, strangle, sexually assault her and answer his door to police and lie and then go back to assaulting her.

Because he used the word "Guys" and how it sounded it made me think he may of not been a total stranger... I wondered if he may have pretended to be a 14 yr old or something and was conversing with them on snap chat or something like that. On his facebook page he had mentioned he was in love with a redhead, and who was the woman / girl that he said something about skipping formalities ?

I'm poking around now to see if James Brian Chadwell II may have known someone that knew one of the girls , like one of his relatives , or a neighbor. Some may even be associated with some that have similar names .

The town of Delphi's population is around 3000 . That's really not all that many people. Half of them or more could be female. That leaves even less than 3000 that they would have to eliminate as suspects. That is if the perpetrator is from Delphi.

When he said from the area , currently , visits or works here.. Did he mean within that 2.71 sq mi area or do they also consider some of the surrounding towns also part of Delphi ... 2.7 miles I could walk around that town in a hour.

I'm new to this site and am trying to get caught up on this thread. I'm from the same area as JBC (born in the same town, he lived a couple miles away), and using "guys" is just how we from that area talk. I'm female and have called a group of girls "guys" many times, and have had friends refer to me and a group of other girls as "guys" as well; maybe it's a Midwestern thing? Also, unless the perp was wearing a disguise, I don't think Abby and Libby knew their killer, otherwise Libby probably wouldn't have felt the need to video the guy (as I believe she felt threatened), and also her and/or Abby would surely have mentioned his name at some point and would have been audible in the audio. Not to say that the perp couldn't have been stalking either or both of them via SM or something, that is a possibility. JMO

I don't think it's necessarily guilt but more like cannot stop his impulses ( he really can stop) but he tells himself he cannot, it's uncontrollable. it's out of his hands .so he soothes himself and detaches from responsibility, and then he moves on to contempt..

he's misunderstood, self pity, blame others, hates people, invisible demons, etc..then he moves on to grandiosity..he knows he is not normal so he will overcompensate and sell himself as the rebel, fighting the war of the misfits!

guilt? not guilt although he knows he should feel it but it's not a concept he understands ..he will be more likely to blame his victims and blame his family or any other convenient scapegoat.

this is a guy that is not going to try to stay out of jail, he's just not, and he doesn't feel one bit bad about the things he does and he can't wait to do it some more. this man is one move away from murder at any given moment..he considers this his calling..he is a non stop predator and does not have real genuine feelings for others..it's all an act. He's an empty vessel.

During his hearing Wednesday afternoon, Tippecanoe County Magistrate Sarah Wyatt appointed a public defender for Chadwell, who said he's laid off from Wabash National.
Wyatt also issued a no-contact order protecting the girl from Chadwell.

I think because there is no hurry now. He is locked up tight and won't be walking free for many decades--if ever.

Yes and it sickens me that he needs little girls to feel that power over. In his recent attack on the nine year old in his home, it was said that he “attempted to have sex with her, but ended up making her perform oral sex on him”.
I wonder if he has a “performance” problem. Oral sex with a condom would also prevent his DNA from being left behind. IMO

I've always wondered if that same thing happened in the Delphi case. I am pretty sure they have no male fluids left behind. So I had wondered if the attacker attempted but failed...when I heard that a similar thing happened in this case in his basement---made me more certain he could be connected to Delphi case too.
