JENNINGS COUNTY – Monday (Sept. 17), shortly after 7:30 p.m., Indiana State Police responded to Forest Grove Lane in the Country Squire Lakes subdivision near North Vernon after a body was located in a lake.

At this time, the deceased white adult male remains unidentified and the cause of death is unknown.

Death investigation underway near North Vernon

Police said the body still hasn't been identified and the cause of death is unknown.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday to determine cause of death and identity of victim.

Anyone with information about the possible identity of the victim or any other information about this investigation is asked to call Detective Jason Duncan, Indiana State Police-Versailles Post 812-689-5000.
