The Murder Sheet folks are saying this indicates KAK’s lawyer, Achey, is asking to be removed as KAK’s attorney.
They are saying either Achey has had enough of KAK after yesterday’s stunt, or KAK is doing it knowing getting a new lawyer will cause more delays.

Was it ever reported if the prosecution and defense discussed the issue of concurrent or consecutive sentencing at the hearing?

Was that on their FB?

I'm not finding a good answer as to how a defense atty public defender can quit a case. If KAK's behind it, from what I understand, he'll either need to hire another one or represent himself.

UPDATE: The court hearing has been delayed for about an hour from the original start time of 9 a.m. The judge and attorneys are currently discussing consecutive vs. concurrent sentencing for Kline, CBS4’s Russ Mcquaid tells us.
If the attys came to agreement, maybe KAK was really unhappy about how his atty represented him.

Interesting. Cecil is the assistant head of the ISP's cybercrimes and investigative technologies division. He's the head of Indiana's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
It's good to see you checking back in. I find it interesting that you find it interesting. :) Is it just a general interesting or is there something special you're thinking about?

As from the beginning, I find it all interesting. Haha

I see a lot of trials and sometimes the person who produces this type of analysis wears many hats. In this case, Indiana's top person for internet crimes against children handled it. He leads the unit within ISP, and the task force. That's always interesting to me.

From the article linked below, Achey seemed to tell the judge he didn’t have any idea KAK was going to claim he hadn’t reviewed a transcript until that day. That makes me think Achey has had enough of KAK, who is obviously manipulating the court system and Indiana judges just keep allowing him to do it. The judge should have sentenced him on Thursday and kicked it into the appellate stage. Now, it will probably be another year of this, while a new attorney gets up to speed.
KAK owns Indiana. He is their daddy.

“When they emerged into the courtroom, Defense Counsel Andrew Achey announced that his client reserved the right to withdraw his guilty plea, claiming that he was yet to read the transcript of his statements to police.

Kiefer disagreed, arguing that the transcripts were a representation of Kline’s own words, and as for the request for a continuation, “Kegan Kline wants this to drag out as long as possible.”

Judge Spahr asked Achey if he was aware of his client’s claim to have not reviewed the transcripts and the attorney acknowledged he was not.”

Looks like he was promoted to that position a month prior to KAK's arrest.

Promoted to First Sergeant

(Indianapolis, IN)-The Superintendent of the Indiana State Police, Douglas G. Carter, has announced the promotion of Sergeant Christopher D. Cecil to the rank of First Sergeant. First Sergeant Cecil will serve as the Assistant Commander of the Cybercrime and Investigative Technologies Section, which includes the digital forensic examiners in the Cyber Crime Unit and the detectives of the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. He will also serve as the Assistant Commander of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

In 2013, Cecil was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served as a digital forensic examiner in the Cyber Crime Unit in Indianapolis. In 2017, he was selected to serve the FBI as a Task Force Officer with the FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force. Cecil has received multiple awards for his investigative efforts during his career with the State Police.

My opinion only, this latest delay tactic employed by KAK is due to his joy at feasting on the speculation directed his way by SM, MSM, podcasts etc. He’s become the centre of attention through his despicable acts but as opposed to the public being thoroughly disgusted with him, as well as there’s an element that sees him to be holding the key to the mystery of the Delphi murders (which for unknown reasons more or less seems to excuse him from being an admitted online predator). The speculation of ‘this or that’ feeds into his egotistical feeling of power because only he knows the answers. He has become addicted to this attention and curiosity about him, and knows once he’s sentenced his name will just quietly disappear. JMO

I believe the impartial judge erred on the side of caution, which is the right thing to do in any case, IMO. As for an appeal, I don't know how those work with a guilty plea.

Now we know. It was Achey that wanted out. Can’t blame him.

Maybe not. Here's a new MS saying he left no explanation and then they give a couple of scenarios of what might be the reason.

In the podcase, it was especially interesting that Achey wrote a short note to KAK. He said it was his pleasure to represent him and truly wished him the best of luck moving forward. He reminded him of his next 2 court dates. Achey went on to say if he had any questions about this or any other matters relating to this case, please contact him at his office.
He also thanked KAK for letting him and his office help him with his case. And ended by saying If he needs any help in the future, please don't hesitate to contact him in his office.

What to make of that? It doesn't exactly sound like Achey is fed up and just wants out. OTOH, since he told KAK if he had any questions to contact him so it doesn't sound like KAK fired him.

One of the very speculative scenarios from MS was the possibility that Achey had personal issues; another was KAK may be wanting to make some claims as fact that Achey knew were not true.

Kk claims he let Achey go in new MS podcast. They did a video call with KK in jail

So, what to believe from the podcasts?
IMO: It's likely there was plea bargaining going on until Carter stepped in.
It's possible that KAK did not see the paperwork regarding TK's involvement.

I didn't know an accused could plead guilty to some charges and take the rest of them to trial. What would his chances be? If his attys could call those guys who interrogated him to testify that they were not lying about a second person, that might plant enough doubt in a jury's mind.

That's exactly it. The jury really doesn't have to listen to anything KAK says, or try to decide what is truth vs fiction, because they will have LE to testify to the facts. Ackey apparently thought KAK wouldn't win at trial, and I'm assuming he's seen all the evidence, including the claim of two different users. Why didn't he pursue that argument?

Based on what we've seen, I thought he would not win at trial. We can assume that all that stuff really is on his phone. Either KAK or someone else put it there.

Maybe things were different before the female prosecutors came on the case? Did a 10 year plea seem high in the early days but with the female prosecutors things changed unexpectedly? In the cases I've looked at, I don't think I've ever seen a low-level felon charged like he's been charged. I don't get it.
