I just saw that DDP has Adam as a pending case!

Awesome news!! Maybe both boys are one step closer to being identified!

Looks like Adam is in Bioinformatics at the moment. Hopefully he will be moved to In Progress soon.

Adam has now been loaded into GEDmatch and undergoing genealogical analysis.

Mmm, wonder if we will see his numbers in this week's spreadsheet. I am sincerely hoping for good ones, even though odds are it may not be the best.

Hopefully research into the identities of Adam and Brad is going well!

A few updates:

Brad is now officially the DDP's newest case. His status is "at lab for sequencing"

After the recent changes of Gedmatch policy, Adam has the new highest match of 59 cM and 8 new matches over 40 cM!

"Brad" is now on the DDP spreadsheet with a highest match of 129.3 cM (though strangely has the exact same numbers as Reservation Rd 1981? ).

Looks like he was Jewish. Interesting. They may have similar problems to those they've had with the three other Jewish does. High numbers of matches but none strong, and the endogamy makes it harder to pinpoint where the doe belongs in the family trees.

He seems to have the exact number of matches and admixture proportions as Reservation Road Doe. I wonder if it might be the wrong kit number?

That is indeed weird and is likely a kit mixup.
Anybody reported it to Joan?

It has been corrected now, new numbers, however, still can be of Jewish ancestry, as he has a lot of matches. His highest match is 479.3 (BIG ENDOGAMY).

Ill look at it.

At the moment, Oracle and EU13 are not uploaded.
But the numbers, yes, i assume indeed he could be Ashkenazi. The high amount of matches points towards that.
Endogamy in Ashkenazim is always present, but normally it is very distantly related people (but loads of them). You basically share little DNA fragments with most other Ashkenazi Jews and that is frustrating...because it makes matches appear closer than they are.
However, on a positive side, Ashkenazi family trees are usually pretty well documented (what survived the shoa), but having the same last names pop up at multiple points can be tricky and confusing.

On another note, his matches with family trees are at 56, which would be a bit on the low side for an Ashkenazi person. But we shall see. Waiting for the estimate.

The links on the doe upload google doc for Brad's admixture and Oracle 4 results currently fail to load and show an error message saying: "No preview available. File is in owner's trash". So it indeed seems there was a mixup.

According to the newly added admixture chart and O4 he is not Ashkenazi
