Yeah, I am not sure if PT should be considered, "a rumor going around". The guy is obviously biased towards one side and has nothing to back up the fact that he took and passed a polygraph. Not to say it is a lie, but I dont know if you can take this with anything more than a grain of salt.

Agreed. I actually found his assessment of JR compelling and reasonable, and the friend of JW's assessment very humanizing of JW and believable.

I just don't know what to think now.

You guys are killin' me!!

Where oh where can I find this "list"

Pretty please with sugar on top!

BBM

How about a miniscule conspiracy

Assuming there is an accident and the body is disposed-the less is the number of people who know about it, the less is the chance somebody is going to talk.

Hey, let me clarify, rumor or no rumor...

If you were suddenly CONVINCED JR's story is true, tell me what theory you would now have of what happened.
this is just a hypothetical...

polygraphs prove nothing. the skeptics will not believe those who pass them, the results are not evidence at a trial for those who flunk them still others will demonize those who fail to take them.

Agreed. It's more of an investigative tool than an actual "lie detection." There is a reason polygraphs are usually not admissible in court.

Okay......okay  If you must force me to think outside my little box:crazy:

I would suspect JW of confronting her about hanging with Cory, and with the mixture of alcohol and/or drugs, AND her heart condition, she died during that confortation, JW freaked and hid her body.

Me too. This or stranger abduction. I dont really feel this is the case, but I can see it is still a possible scenario.

I'm definitely not convinced of anything. And I still think JR out of all POI has not disclosed important information, even if he had nothing to do with the actual disappearance.

I think 'random' abduction is still viable. I was way leaning towards JW for a while but not so much right now, maybe friend of JW? Someone involved in the fight maybe?

That's all I am asking - entertain the thought! I never said one thing or another about believing it!

The other thing to consider is that if JR's story was true, almost 12 hours elapsed before she was reported missing. So much could occur in that timeframe, especially if LS leaves the narrow, security camera area of downtown Bloomington.

Fascinating reading over there at PT!

Thanks, elmomom and smurf.

I am riveted!!

So, following Elmomom's lead, what could have happened if we assume JR is telling 100% the truth? Hypothetically.

1. Stranger abduction
2. JW confronts her/some of his friends confront her
3. Could she have fallen into some sort of construction/basement of a building? I am assuming no bodies of water are remotely close.
4. Could she have somehow encountered someone else she knows and entered another apartment building?
5. Some sort of voluntary leave that somehow wasn't caught on camera?

1 and 2 seem the most likely to me with #4 being intriguing. If she had a lot of friends is it totally impossible that she ran into someone around JR's building or other buildings close by?

I like that, it's new. I wonder if anyone she knew creeped her out?

Why have the 3-5 guys that assaultEd CR in 5th floor lobby basically remained anonymous???

I'm happy to hear they are still going through video...if Lauren went out on foot, she should show up somewhere, on some video. Also, any vehicles out and about might be identified. In this kind of a town/downtown, even at 4:30AM, someone should have seen Lauren if she was out there.

BTW, what ever happened about the supposed scream?

bumping my post from this morning.

PLEASE READ:

This discussion will not become a forum to discuss rumors carried over from other message boards. We've been allowed to reference random comments here and there with links, but that will cease if it gets out of hand. So, please, be very careful what you post.

I understand how frustrating it is not to have news. I've been following Lauren's case right here along with the rest of you, and am as anxious as anyone to see it solved. Nevertheless, if we choose to participate in the discussion here, we have to abide by the rules.

Thanks,

Bessie

answering your post with a recent post

Thanks for the quote....I wasn't able to quote it back. So, if HT was the first to notice LS was gone, yet didn't seem to worry about it, nor apparently called JW b/c it appears that he texted her first.....this tells me that maybe it was typical for LS to not come home. Now, in the past perhaps she was always at JWs place. However, IF they were broken up, I'd assume that HT would be curious. If she wasn't concerned, it still surprises me that JW would resort to calling LS's parents....

Bessie -should I remove my post? I realized afterwards I didn't even need it to get people to consider an alternative...

well... see... that's the thing with HT - I don't know which version is right, and I am not so sure that she really did notice it before JW brought it to her attention.
I remember reading somewhere that Jesse used to stay over at her place since his house was such a disaster... frat boys... anyhow, I don't think it was normal or common for LS to be out all night.

In my experience, with all of the cases I have followed here, MSM does NOT always report things correctly. It is unfortunate, but it does happen.

I absolutely agree with you, and also LE can be less than forthcoming at times in order not to show their cards(so to speak). I'm in no way criticizing anyone else's thoughts or how they arrive at them, and I apologize if that is how it was taken-merely saying how I personally develop theories. Peace :innocent:

If LE says they aren't any closer to figuring this out than 3 weeks ago, I tend to believe them. They might not have any cards.
