Lake Monroe. It may have been due to AEPI's hazing practices.

I guess I'm trying to ask how could they have video evidence to support the witness account if none is possible? Of course what they currently have does not confirm the witness account, because its not on the location from which that was reported.

Or are they saying that the video evidence that they do have expressly makes the witness account not possible?

"Where it has been reported" says to me they looked at video from 10th and College because that is "where" the witness claims to have seen Lauren.

There are cameras on Salzmann's office. Btown said he doesn't believe they pick up the sidewalk or the street, but the truth is, he doesn't know for sure. The view is unobscured, so if the cameras have a wide field of view, it's possible they can capture a good portion of that corner.

FWIW, I was in a jewish fraternity and each year there was about 1 "token" non-jew in each pledge class. Having said that, I'm pretty certain (no links, sorry) that I read on multiple boards that ZO (and AB for that matter) had no affiliation with AEPi

I thought it was said that ZO was Acacia. Not Aepi. From the Student guy on PT he was just the main person people on campus went to who wanted drugs.

My eyes just welled up with tears reading northsiders posts. I live in indy. I myself have been suspicious of certain people in this whole thing that are from indy. As i was driving a friend somewhere today she said "gosh-something stinks! Smells like a dead body." I for 1 dont know what a dead body smells like. I do live in a bad part of town so you really just never know-i want to go search the area we drove by when she said that.

Yes, I wonder about the association with the hazing and the tip. So I wonder, if the tip was called in, or if it came from someone closer (like JW) that knew about the hazing.
Is there something specific to JR in the hazing stories.. I never saw anything, but I remember someone suggesting there was. If so, it would be interesting that the tip relative to JR was so early in the searches.

To the extent it's relevant, Monroe is south of Bloomington, not near Indy.

In the comments awhile back (I can't remember which post it was on or who commented or anything, sorry!) someone posted that one of the possible POIs we've been talking about, who might also be a DD, might have been involved in the altercation w/ CR and is from Indy had a fb status from June 3 that said 'she's as pure as NY snow'

A reference to cocaine, no doubt. Even if it is on fb, could be a quote from a movie/music? and could be completely meaningless, it still struck me as a little bit odd anyway since that was the day LS went missing, she's from NY, she may/may not be connected to this guy, was partying in the vicinity of where this guy lives and now there are all these rumors that he may have been involved in her disappearance. It just makes me feel strange considering that he would post something like that at that specific time. Again, could be meaningless...but...

as an ex-Nyer I can guarantee you that NY snow is infamously anything but pure. So, if it is a coke reference it is a pretty negative assessment. I couldn't imagine anything other than it being a coke reference.

It is an odd reference. The song Bette Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes has that phrase in it, fully: "She's pure as New York snow".

as an ex-Nyer I can guarantee you that NY snow is infamously anything but pure. So, if it is a coke reference it is a pretty negative assessment. I couldn't imagine anything other than it being a coke reference.

The line comes from Kim Carnes' "Bette Davis Eyes," the second biggest hit song of the 1980s - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Carnes#.22Bette_Davis_Eyes.22. It certainly could have been used as a coke reference by the quoter (if not the quoted), but that is not at least the textual meaning of the song.

I saw that on PT some time ago. I thought the poster was referring to LS.

I also thought they were referring to LS and for some reason I thought the post was kind of creepy...wanted to see what other people thought.

I found the post, it is in a comment on the post on TG's site under the story 'Missing student's friends continue to stonewall', posted by a commenter named Jenny (not me) and the actual post was “she is as pure as New York snow”. I guess it's also in the lyrics to a song and in that way, could be totally not related to anything. still, it seems weird to me.

I hope I haven't said anything I wasn't supposed to...forgot about this until I read Northsider's recent post.

It wasn't said in reference to LS that we know of, that is speculation because of the timing. Many were speculating that it may have referred to a new delivery of coke received at the time.
