The one below is north about 2 miles of the center of your photo. It is FCC registered. I've driven that 37 route many times. Swear there is one on Legendary Hill too.

What you called a bypass is actually a divided highway. It's densely forested.

Yes, I just found that same one googling. So, let me see where using that might put us.

That would move, in my opinion, south on 37 to the stretch of highway beside the Oliver Winery.

Jupiter - Also, to answer your question about what do we do with this info now? I would say that LE needs to go do a little better search in the area possibly near the Winery. Will they, is anyone's guess.

DR is good friends with LS and HT and lives in Smallwood. He accompanied LS to JRs where she met up with CR, and later left to go to Kilroys. I am not sure but I think HT said that after that, DR went back to Smallwood (though we do not know at what time he left JRs) There is a video of him being interviewed from the next day as he is helping with the searches. He did not get an attorney right away, but did end up getting one to handle a previous case that had a bench warrant out on him and he had to respond on June 12th I believe. And I am glad someone found the info about his major, as soon as I read about the Martinsville link to his major, I wanted to post (but I see as I caught up someone else caught it!)

DB is the supposed initials of JRs guest from home, but we do not know that for certain.

Thanks Elmomom. I have been mistakenly calling "DR" "DB" this entire time, in all of my posts. ooopsie

Calls located in Martinsville were made at approximately 4 a.m. from the phone of the last person to see her.

The call from JR to DR might make sense now too.

============================
By now you've read my posts which may or may not answer your question.

But I said "calls" which could mean two. Why do you say "several" calls?

I'm still confused . Was the cell phone of last person to see her (Lauren) physically in Martinsville while someone placed the calls or or was the cell phone of the last person to see her receiving the calls from a person who was calling from Martinsville.

and how do either of these two scenarios rely to the call to dr?

This is what Jupiter stated -

Calls located in Martinsville were made at approximately 4 a.m. from the phone of the last person to see her.

JR was the last person to see Lauren, so, JR had to be mighty close to the cell tower in Martinsville, around 4:00am.

How is that important? Why would JR be anywhere in that distance and direction at that time of the morning, calling anyone?

We don't know that JR was there. Just his phone. Or one of them anyway. People who deal will often have two or more phones. Some of them anonymous and prepaid.

Last night I posted a link to a story about this pressure that I found on the Love for Lauren FB page. In addition to what we've discussed before on this forum about there being a grid about where the loads are dumped and so on, apparently there is GPS help for this search too. If you haven't checked the link, I really recommend it. I have been learning a lot about landfills lately! I thought that they were just huge dumps of trash, like this.

Thanks for all this info! The landfill process is interesting ... much more than huge dumps of trash, as you note. It's good that there's some type of methodical organization. My town has a transfer station where you can drop trash off (with a sticker obtained from Public Works) as well as weekly pickup ... I'm sorry to say I don't know where my trash actually ends up! I've read that Bloomington's collection also goes through a transfer station and do wonder, like others, if that was checked with dogs.

If that is true about calls from his cell coming from Martinsville that is pretty damning to me that he at least knew what was happening. I am assuming police are on it if that is true though? It will make me very angry if they basically know/suspect what happened, but the lack of physical evidence is holding them back from making an arrest of any type. I suppose what we feel will probably be 1/100th of what her family and LE will feel though.

You are correct on all points. Now, we are talking the distance from Bloomington - Martinsville - 31 mins / 21.17 miles. So, let's cut that time in half. JR's phone was in that area with or without him. And he says that he last saw Lauren walking home at 4:15am. Is this making any sense to anyone but me?

And he says that he last saw Lauren walking home at 4:15am.

I believe he says the phone call to DR was at 4:15 and he last saw her at 4:30, but still!

Yes, you are right, I'm wrong on that time. Something isn't right huh? 15 min to, 15 min from back to Bloomington. Interesting set of possible facts we have here.

Sorry, I'll try to log on more often :)

So you're saying this person told you that calls were triangulated to Martinsville and made from there at approx. 4 AM the morning of 6/3 from the last person to see her??

I just want to make sure. Because if that's the case, then everything snaps into focus for a scenario I've been contemplating.

If that is true, that summarizes the case. Still not enough for police to make an arrest in the absence of a body.

However, this is all just rumor and may be totally false and unsubstantiated.

  • #374
British - I'm really doubting that it's a rumor, because of the search of route 37. I know that it was reported as a strong smell of decomp, but that doesn't do it for me.

If someone is involved in drug dealing, to the point of covering up a death, would they not be knowledgeable enough about cell phone pings to not take their cell with them?

Hey guys
Does anyone remember the post yesterday....i think it was by cspring who was upset after her friend said something about something smelling like a "dead body" when they drove past somewhere?
She said she wanted to go back there and search.
Has anyone heard anything else from her? If she reported it? Or where this place was?
Cspring? I think that's who it was.....

You would think, but these are kids doing very grown up activities. My FIL tells me all the time that its a proven fact, boys brains aren't totally developed until around 25 yo.
Almost all crimes contain 1 stupid mistake.

I don't think s/he's been back but I do remember that it was an area in or around Indianapolis that she was describing.
