I also think CS' letters keep pressure on LE in a roundabout way. Key evidence disappeared over the years that could help seal the OCCK case. I think that keeping LS' case "present" is a way to avoid that.
A poster once asked if DB's car had ever been searched. There's so much mystery about him, i.e., was he even at JR's, etc. I wonder if any evidence has been collected, apart from LS' belongings? You recently mentioned the gravel lot. Isn't that close to where her wristlet/keys were found?
