Something about the roommate doesn't add up with me either.

Could she and JW have fooled around??

How could she not know something was wrong between LS and JW,
she keeps making it sound like everything was lovey-dovey between them and yet it obviously wasn't, because LS was going off with another guy at 2 a.m.

Also, I wonder if the dive teams searched under piers or docked boats?

For those past tense fans (I have mixed feelings on this.), the roomies seemed to know LS is gone:

“He was a protective boyfriend because he loved her a lot,” she [AR] said.

"He really cares about her. Lauren was his life, his number one priority. He would never do anything to hurt her," said HT, Spierer's roommate.

This kind of intense feeling is scary to me, in a man of this age...my niece's former boyfriend was like this and when she broke up with him, she was terrified by him. I know her friends mean this in the best possible way, but it is kinda creepy to me...

What do you guys think of Rossman and Mike Beth telling reporters that the media coverage is ruining their lives when FOX tried to interview them today?

Well, I would imagine that it could ruin their lives, especially if she is never found, case goes cold, and they have been made to look like they are involved...if they truly are innocent. I'm sure something like that hangs over your head for a very long time.

I'm sure they are frustrated if they are being hounded by the media as it seems they have told all they know. I do get it, but a simple, "we have told all we know and will not be making any further comments" would be more appropriate.

Personally, unless it's a mother/father, I don't take past tense in account too much.

I think it's weird when a mom/dad use it. But friends? Definetly don't take too much into account.

Everyone has their personal feelings about what happened to Lauren, including her friends. It doesn't mean they know anything.

Only that CR and MB obeyed their attorneys.

I definetly think Corey Rossman is the fall guy. And news reports are using him as such as well. EVERY news report has a negative comment about Rossman. Either he "didn't" look like he had been punched, or he was in the "list" of no trespasse in Smallwood apartment, or he was paying innapropriate attention to Lauren.

Corey is the resident bad boy of the case... wonder if it's warranted. Jesse Wollfe, is normally depicted as the perfect, worried, loving boyfriend.

And then there is JR. His FB says he lives in Barcelona, Spain and studies at Indiana U. He hires a high-profile attorney. Is he still in Bloomington?

They are 20 and 21 year old kids. CRs name has appeared most heavily in print. His character, partying ways, and life have been exposed. If he is, in no way involved, and the only thing he is guilty of is partying with a girl I could see this statement holding true. I could see how he would feel that way.

The kid is also likely being harassed fairly heavily by people who know JW and LS as a couple. Again, not grown adults, but young impressionable kids who don't really hold back when "pointing the finger".

Would the dive teams for sure have searched under the piers?
Docked boats? etc.

Obstructions like that have to make their task harder, wonder if they even thought to look in places like that?

Especially if the bad guy doesn't have a boat, I could see him wanting to dump the body in the water,
but when you leave the shore and can't go far out, it's more likely to be found.

I could see him thinking it might keep under something like that.

I think he's a very well-off dude. That's the impression I get from him... He has also joined 2 search for Lauren groups on fbook.

Not sure if you were disagreeing with me, but I totally agree with what you are saying.

If Texas Equisearch does a complete search, as they are known to do, they will find her if she was put into the lake. They have just about every piece of equip and trained manpower as well. I noticed that the article today said they were in town to talk about ways they can help-I hope that means a full-out search.

The entire statement has bothered me from the word go. I know for a 20-yr-old girl it seems sweet and adorable, but it is an INTENSE feeling and a lot of people don't know how to deal with that feeling when/if it starts to turn sour. There is also the ability for those feelings to lead to an insane overreaction of the situation.

The roommate might have meant it in the best possible way but words like "protective" and "whole life" really made me take a double take. Especially when we know that LS was with another male, a lone, instead of with her boyfriend.

Honestly, Corey Rossman is a single dude. He is not friends with Jesse. I'm definetly not blaming the victim here, but if Lauren felt okay hanging out with him, her boyfriend and his friends should have confronted her, not Corey.

From what's been told here, the code of conduct for a fraternity dictates confronting the "dude" and not the girl.

Agreed. But at the same time, how many guys I know feel like their girlfriends are their "whole life" and vice versa?? I mean, it's a common feeling among a lot of young couples I know.

I keep thinking of my male friends... so many who are completely controlling and even possessive of their girlfriends... still, it's such a leap to commit murder. Yet, it happens all the time. Again and again.

The comment to the lohud article suggests JW is now in NY. Has this been reported anywhere else?

If he is in NY I am curious whether he is one of the POIs that LE says is not readily available at the moment.

Possibly, regarding the past tense. However, the use of present tense was striking with her home friends who were interviewed on one of the stations last night.

One or more of LS's IU friends: they know more than they are saying. I have no doubt about it. Doesn't mean they are responsible, but more than one knows more than they have revealed.

Yes it does and jealousy is almost always the motive, that, or rejection.
