Wonder if DM has/had a white truck....

How did the body get found so quickly? Were they searching there in particular or was it mushroom hunters or the like? Then, how did they so quickly tie this to the suspect they have in custody?

anything little could be big.

We could ask that about the whole story, and maybe we should, from the beginning of what we know, and then analyze it.

starting with the party at SW, when Lauren got a call and left abruptly with DR.
they went to JR's. We know that Lauren snorted some klonopin with DR. If they left a
party abruptly to go to JR's, maybe the klonopin was up there at 5N.

We have been told that MB was "working on a paper" but we also know he was
over at JR's at least twice. Why so important to tell police he was studying. Working on a paper is not exactly studying, is it? Was he snorting adderall for "focus" and
then doing a little klonopin to take the edge off?

IMO, this little thing establishes, or tries to establish, A) that MB was sober, that his testimony is lucid, and this is important because he is the bridge from CR's amnesia to Lauren being conscious enough to walk out of JR's door into oblivion.

He had a paper due, and IMO, was working on it under the influence of drugs.

B) the paper due storyline also would cover any OD Lauren might have experienced
if he allowed her, or offered her, a line of crushed adderall or vyvanse that he could have been using to "help him study>" Mom chipping in to verify he was actually working on a paper could mean she knows about a prescription and is going to back him up.

CR falling on the stairs, vomiting on the stairs, MB helping him, places MB out of the room, with the possibility that he could say Lauren must have snorted the crushed pills when he was out of the room, w/o his consent.

IMO, when CR and LS got back to CR and MBs apt, MB was the one who asked
if anyone wanted to party, either before or after putting CR to bed. IMO, Lauren wanted to go home, and home safely w/o a bunch of people stalking her, including her bf.

I wonder if the police used cell phone GPS pings to connect this felon to the crime? It appears he has a long history of violence against women.
Could he be connected to the Spierer case as well?

Or a four door Mercury Milan, such as the one in which Marina Boelter was last seen. And one may wonder where he was the nights Crystal Grubb and LS went missing.

I wonder if he could be responsible for Lauren S too?

I'll be curious to learn why he was so quickly on the radar the moment they found her body.

I'm reading through the info, rumors, and other things about this recent IU case. None of this I have confirmed with official news outlets but the gist is she was expecting an Uber ride. I'm reading the university had a designated pickup area even for students in an effort to make things safe for students on Little 500 weekend so this could've factored in. So this guy simply pretended to be an Uber driver. Whether he knew she called for a ride, or simply saw her and asked if she needed a ride and she assumed he was the Uber driver and he played along, I'm not sure that is actually known. Uber (allegedly) is denying any connection to him but there could always be more to that.

But, I guess the point is, if the gist of the above holds true then depending on the solidity of his alibi, he would warrant a look in the LS disappearance. And possibly, he was already on the LE radar which could be how he was so quickly targeted here in a similar type of scenario. Of course, other possibilities exist including video or witnesses seeing his plates, or maybe Uber's public denials aren't exactly accurate so maybe there was a phone connection to be followed right to him (which would make him fairly stupid as criminals go). But for some reason, he was quickly on the LE radar.

READ THIS! Thursday night
Trivia. Does Kilroys have Thursday night Trivia? Another thing to consider... Lauren disappeared on Thursday night/Friday morning. Both at Kilroys the night of their disappearance. Very odd!

This may be some of the "eerily same" circumstances LE says prompted them to look at Lauren's case in relation to Hannah's. Gosh, if it was him, he has been quiet crime-wise for 4 years it would seem. But I guess that is not unusual in serial cases. I just hate it though. Also wondering if increased cameras and security as a result of Lauren's disappearance helped identify this guy super quick as the investigation into Hannah's disappaearance unfolded early on.

Thx for new articles. This is so creepy. I want to know if he ever commented to his stepdad re: LS missing. From IDS article..The charge for keeping his gf confined, so very scary.

This is possible. He lived in a trailer that was on the way to Bloomfield from Bloomington. And, the last witness to see the Boelter girl said she got into a car with an older man. Creepy indeed!

Lauren Spierer and Hannah Wilson go missing after being at Sports. Yikes! Now, I must wonder about an earlier rumor about someone hiding Lauren's cell at the bar.

From http://www.wthr.com/story/28907214/c...murder-suspect

"According to Messel's father, his son went out to Yogi's Bar and Grill for trivia night with friends at 8:00 pm, something he does every Thursday night."

Yogi's is at the corner of 10th and Indiana, roughly a half mile to the 10th and College area. Probably can't assume that this every Thursday night behavior applied 4 years ago, but a propensity for visiting bars for trivia on Thursday evenings should definitely be considered. Schedules and locales have rotated heavily, but it would not be unusual for many of them to have done it regularly at some point.
