Dexter doesn't kill innocent young girls, he goes after criminals. He's a vigilante. But he would dispose of a body in the water.

I do think he should changed his favorite quote from "get busy livin' or get busy dyin'" to anything else.

Maybe, for Jesse, "cheating" on him would make Lauren... not so innocent? Who knows...

Just speculating...

One thing I am interested in again are the early comments made by JW's friends on the facebook page (since deleted). Does anyone remember those early comments where curiousgirl thought they were alluding to antisemitism? At the time, I thought they were just making comments about how everyone in their group knew what was going on (they were disputing the denial of the fight at Smallwood, etc.). These are the type of people I have always assumed Lauren's parents are talking to in pleas to come forward. Since their names haven't been published (these are the people involved in the altercation or that made public comments claiming to be good friends of JW), I won't name names, but they came to the early defense of JW, pointing fingers elsewhere and I think it's possible that there could be reasons (like being on probation for example) that they would not want to come forward. This is my own speculation based on reading the facebook page and searching a few names on mycase.

Me again....because in my attack a guy who was a student was taken in and the police shook him down. Problem was it was a guy who was 20 years older and had no connection to out school....I just stay open to all possibilities

Believe me, I'm not defending JW. I just don't think we can make the leap from watching Dexter to murdering your girlfriend.

I want to add, I have no clue what happened to Lauren. I just want the facts and no one who is innocent to have their live ruined. I do know some speculation is allowed here....I just am really touched by this. I think it might have been me but for the grace of God

I remember that. Perfectly well. The guy, N, seemed like one of the guys who got into a fight with Rossman at Lauren's apt. And he kept defending Jesse and being overly aggressive. It was creepy, TBH. He said they had to "defend" their tribe and at first I thought it had something to do with the jews but now it's clearly about their frat and defending Jesse...

Oh, I agree. Like I side, when I click on "Dexter" on his page it says 24 of my friends also like the show...

Very interesting that the truck was ruled out. I agree this puts a lot of pressure back onto JW/JR. I have always thought it is quite a coincidence that the same night LS ends up missing is the night she brings a boy, not her boyfriend, back to her apt. I find it hard to imagine JW was not made aware that his frat bros saw LS and CR together a few feet from her apt door, punched CR, and watched LS and CR leave together.

Seems like JW would know they were going back to CR apt and there are so many things that could have happened from there. I can't make heads or tails of the call to DR. Would they really have wanted to involve more people? Is DR in the frat too, I thought he was more a friend of LS who also knew the guys?

I think the call is important too. Either is was Lauren or it was JR, but why were they calling DR. He may have been more involved than previously thought. Maybe he was the other person that CR's attorney alluded to when he said that at least three people saw Lauren after CR saw her.

There are two news reports which imply that Lauren was partying. One from someone at Kilroy's stating she was lamenting about being on xanax (yes?) and cocaine and anoner one from MB saying she was going to JR'S and asked him if he wanted to party but he declined.

Have there been any other claims of this, and if so from who.

I just got to thinking about the claims of Lauren partying but no one has really come forth and admitted they partied with her, have they? Just wondering if some deflecting is going on here.

if LS used to hang out at JR's all the time last year, and JW has been her bf since then, chances are better than good JW used to hang out there too.

for that matter, JW could have been at JR's that night looking for LS. i also have to say that i do find it odd that JW's friend(s) slugged CR, especially without JW being present.

where JW's buddies out looking for LS and CR? was JW too? what brought the altercation to the point of fisticuffs? i remember being that age and being completely loyal to my best friends, and valuing that relationship so highly, but I can't say i would have slugged someone with my bf's girl with just on principal alone.

BBM. I was thinking this! I am so glad you posted so I know I'm not alone already. I think she could have done what was said by CRs attorney, that she dropped him off, MB didn't want to party and was working on a paper (easy enough for LE to check the computer records that night and rule that part about working on a paper in/out). I think JW could have been over at JR's, maybe asking where LS and CR had gone, who knows. Maybe seeing JW at JR's is why LS stopped there after leaving CR/MBs. A confrontation could have happened there, ending either directly in her death (one or both hurt her), or indirectly (heart stopped from stress) and JW and JR had to cover their tracks. I would think evidence would be in one of their vehicles, or they called a friend to see if they could borrow a car (ie DR)! Later of course they tell LE and friends that LS called about her missing phone.

I did not originally post this, but unless JR was standing out on the sidewalk, he could not have seen the SW corner of 11th and College. There is an incline of 11th St. towards that intersection, plus there is a large tree and shrubbery/random foliage obscuring the view of the sidewalk from the building where JR et al. live. The windows of these apartments face north towards 11th St., not east towards College. He could not have seen that corner from his apartment window.

Yes. He would have to be outside on the sidewalk, looking up the hill, around that tree, where he watched, and allowed, a friend, who was nearly incapacitated, simply walk away, and there is no video evidence to support the claim, according to police.

What are the chances that a defense attorney or his/her team would post in a forum such as this to either sway opinion or encourage confusion?

Also, to the veterans of this site, does LE ever monitor websleuths for information? Can a mod answer this one?

I completely agree. If JW is involved, then I think JR helped him cover up at the very least.

Yes! So, he, in conjunction with the person who has been named in the media as being in the altercation, have been under the radar, but they were both clearly involved in this story, and they both have criminal records that go far beyond simply underage drinking.

(Edited to add: By clearly involved, I just mean I think that they, at the very least, were involved in the altercation, and may be POI)

I agree with you that it could really be anyone at this point. I had a situation my first year out of undergrad where a new neighbor in my apt building followed me everywhere (without my knowledge of course) and one night when I was walking from a friends apt back to my own (at about 230 AM) he sprang from the bushes and raped me.

Oftentimes attackers are close to their victims and have motives, but that is certainly not always the case!

Who has been named by the media that have criminal records that exceed underage drinking? I googled all guys and they only had intoxication/speeding traffic. I will google this other guy's criminal record now. Can anyone give me that address to Bloomington's record page?

This is what I tried to say a few days ago, the bar has reason to deny serving Lauren (underage) so they may want it out there that they saw how "wasted" she was and did not serve her, and the "men" have reason to say she was wasted because then it might be believed she was more likely to become a random victim. But I don't think we know for sure that she was "wasted"-true, she lost or dropped all of her items...that kind of bothers me that she winds up with nothing she left home with. But lots of people tend to think that isn't so unusual (!). Still, I want to withhold judgement about how "wasted" she was, considering she supposedly walked CR home, not the other way around...

Yes, I know of cases where LE has monitored here at WS. And the defense in the Casey Anthony trial reads here also. It came up at trial.
