Yes.
Do you suppose they light up the corner at 11th & College Ave so Lauren can be seen?

Old-Time says he may go out tonight and see what the conditions are so we have a better idea if she could be seen or not.

To be even more clear though.
I've seen the reports that indicate the LE say JR saw her turn the corner.
I've see one of the other guys attorney say JR says he saw her turn the corner.
But I must've overlooked the reports that specifically say where he was when he saw her turn the corner.
Its tough to keep up with everything, did I overlook those? Can anybody link those? Sorry I'm a bit behind on that.

I could be mistaken, but I thought it was a video interview with another person who lives at the same apt building as CR, MB and JR. I seem to remember that interview the guy said something about seeing her from his window...hopefully one of those much faster at pulling up vids can help with that.

does anyone know what the definition of a POI is??.. just curious b/c I am not 100% sure
That goes back to the Richard Jewell case. When the famed F.B.I. labeled him a suspect in the Centennial Olympic Park bombing and the media basically destroyed his reputation. He sued and collected from various media outlets for labeling him a suspect among other things. So now they call suspects POI so they can basically call someone a suspect and not get sued.

Sure does. LE hardly calls anyone a suspect anymore, after Richard Jewell fiasco.

From the way I understand it, it has different meanings to different law enforcement agencies. But basically, it means that law enforcement is looking very hard at a certain person in particular.

Well in this case it seems to be POI could simply mean anybody who was around LS that night she went missing. By the way I find it interesting that LE came out and said it ruled out the truck quickly enough, but yet to publicly rule out any of POIs.

OK, thanks.

Well judging by the pic. It seems impossible that they could just look out the window and see her.

However, if the window was open, and they stuck their head and shoulders out, they might be able to. Maybe.

I'm still looking for it. I know we talked about it before, and someone was saying how they thought the guy in that video meant he had seen her out his window before, but not necessarily that night. I just wonder if it's the media that has mixed up that interview with what they think JR said.

If you also look at the map on page one, it does not look like any cameras cover the Morton side of Smallwood. I would bet there is a camera or cameras inside that parking garage. PGs are inherently unsafe and prone to attacks and vandalism.

No cameras on the exterior that I remember.
There are several in the parking garage.

It sure seems odd that Smallwood did not give full access even after served with a search warrant. One article mentions that the police had to bust into a few areas.

Its my understanding that the police brought the warrant after business hours, about 8pm. No staff was available to open the doors.

In my day they called that grandstanding for the news crews.

I am more concerned about the parking situation where JR lived. Is there a garage? Are there cameras?

No parking garage where JR lived.
No cameras on the exterior that I've observed.

We were discussing the camera clock just before the press-conference, and I thought police have figured out if the clocks were correct or not before updating and releasing that timeline. I guess not. However LE never said it couldn't have been a person in the back of that truck. They just said they don't know what's in the back of it because the image was too fuzzy.
I thought they said when you view the video in motion it looked more like equipment in the back but I could be wrong. But really the point I was trying to make was at least one of these cameras was not a frame shot camera and the police should have realized the truck did not pass that camera twice.

How do we know the correct time was on the camera of LS in the alley?

Or the ones at Smallood, or the ones at Kilroys.

LOL. Touche!

I think LE already did their tests on these cameras when they changed the time to 2:51AM, if I remember correctly, I think it was sometime after 3AM initially?

Since you have walked and photoed this area so much I am wondering if she was abducted off the street how and where you think this happened.Or after looking at everything do you think she was not abducted on her walk home.

dang it! I'm trying to put in a request for Eyes for Lies blog to look at this and tell us if she sees any deception with David R. However, requests can only be 90 characters long (including links) and that link is more than 90 characters. So not only can I not post the whole link, I can't even type what my request is.

Grrrrrrr!

ETA: nevermind! I was able to request.

Lovejac, you can use bitly to shorten links

Does JR have a roommate? Who else other than MB and JR saw LS at JR's? MB says LS went to JR's. JR says LS went to his apt. AND this other person also said he saw her at CR's and JR's.

http://bit.ly/j0voUo
A neighbor at 5 North Townhomes in the 200 block of 11th Street told Fox59 News he saw Spierer visiting the apartments of Rosenbaum and Corey Rossman.
Salzmann said Spierer accompanied Rossman to his apartment and left him there before visiting Rosenbaum's apartment. Salzmann also said there were at least three other people who saw Spierer after Rossman was with her.

MB, JR, and....? This person saw her at JRs, yet JR is the last to see her. Spotlight, anyone? :deadhorse:
I hope that anyone JR called after LS arrived at his place has had their vehicle searched. It's really nagging at me, and I think he called DR just to borrow a car to get rid of LS. I wonder if he called anyone else. The answers lie with him IMO.

What does 'person of interest' mean? Nothing.

(CNN) --But what does this term mean? "The 'person of interest' tells you nothing," says Cynthia Hujar Orr, president of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. "They are suspicious of that person, but the police don't have the evidence they need."

In the U.S. Attorney's Manual, a guidebook used by federal criminal prosecutors, the phrase "person of interest" doesn't exist. It is not a legal term used by attorneys.

IIRC, I dont think he meant he saw her walking by that night. He was alluding to the fact that he has seen her walking by in the building before.

when people are grossly intoxicated, there is no telling what they might do. I am assuming by now all of Bloomington has been searched, but how about this thought?

Lauren is intending to walk home. she is disoriented and walks in a completely different direction. (has happened to many) in the process she trips, sprains an ankle or whatnot and has a hard time walking.

in say a 5 - 10 block radius of where she was last seen, are there any abandoned buildings, garages, or any other place an injured person might have entered to get herself off her feet? once off her feet, she could have had a medical emergency with no means of getting help.

not to sound tacky, but you'd think a body in this type of weather would be noticeable. are there any businesses in the area that are particularly foul-odored that might mask the presence of a corpse?
